Abstract: The solution of the present disclosure connects the power in parallel distribution chains. A horizontal pizza box in the middle of the equipment stack represents the power box (PB), which houses the power modules (PMs), such as the power input modules (PIMs) or the power supply units (PSUs). The PMs in the PB are connected to the office power source(s), and the PB supplies power to the parallel distribution chains (A? and B?). The parallel distribution chains are composed of jumper segments that are based on busbar-like technology, with each jumper segment being the length of the distance between coupled boxes. Any box can be removed without disrupting either distribution chain. Advantageously, the jumper segments are touch-proof, from a safety perspective. Thus, instead of a jumper created using a cable, PCB, etc., or a jumper composed of a custom molded back-to-back connector, the jumpers are based on busbar-like technology.

Abstract: A floating bus bar connector connects a computing asset to bus bars using a connecting clip and a conducting terminal that is coupled to the connecting clip and to an electronic component inside the computing asset. To simplify connection to the bus bars, the floating bus bar connector is mounted to a chassis of the computing asset so that the entire connector is movable, relative to the chassis, in a direction perpendicular to the bus bar. Thus, if the floating bus bar connector and bus bars become misaligned when the computing asset is being connected to the bus bars, the floating bus bar connector may move to realign with the bus bars.

Abstract: An electrical connector having a body, first and second female interfaces, a female connector, one to four side interfaces and a connecting pin. The body has a longitudinal axis with a passage extending between the first and second female interfaces. The side interfaces extend from the body and are substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The interfaces have a distal end and a bus electrically connected to the female connector. The ends of the connecting pin are adapted to snugly engage louver-type connectors on male interfaces, which are inserted into the first and second female interfaces. The electrical connector is designed to minimize the distance between the first and second ends of the body. The side interfaces of the electrical connector can be designed to accommodate different high voltage connectors.

Abstract: A connector, an electrified grid element and the combination. First and second contacts with first and second contact portions are secured in the housing of the connector. The second contact portion is offset from a first surface of the connector a greater distance that the first contact portion. An electrified grid has a first conductor and a second conductor, with the first conductor having an opposite polarity to the second conductor. A first insulator member is positioned proximate the first conductor and a second insulator member is positioned proximate the second conductor. The first and second insulator members prevent the mating of the connector to the electrified grid unless the connector is properly oriented in the electrified grid, thereby insuring proper polarity between the connector and the electrified grid.
