Abstract: The invention relates to a voltage transformer (1) including a housing (12) which encloses, at least partially, a mains plug (3, 4) connectable to a mains voltage source, a terminal plug (8) connectable to a terminal, and a voltage-transforming circuit, said housing (12) comprising a first housing component (2) and a second housing component (6) movably connected to said first housing component (2) by a guide means and implemented as a reception means (9) for receiving therein the terminal, and said voltage transformer (1) being adapted to be moved from a transport position to a charging position. In order to improve the handiness of the voltage transformer (1) during charging and, in particular, during transport, the present invention is so conceived that, at the transport position, the housing components (2, 6) have been moved relative to one another such that the space occupied at the transport position is smaller than that occupied at the charging position.

The housing has opposite first and second housing walls, a peripheral wall extending between the first and second housing walls to define an accommodation space, a prong slot having a first slot section formed in the peripheral wall and a second slot section formed in the first housing wall, and a pair of slide rails disposed on opposite sides of the prong slot. The prong unit includes a prong base disposed in the accommodation space, and two conductive prongs mounted on the prong base. The prong base is slidable along the slide rails so that the prongs extend out of the housing through the first slot section or the second slot section of the prong slot.

Abstract: A charger capable of converting either alternating current or direct current power source, with a cable storing mechanism, is disclosed. The device includes a main body to incorporate other components, an in-car connecting component which can be connected to the cigarette lighter of a car, a house connecting component which can be connected to the AC receptacle, and a cable storing device having a spiral structure to smoothly store the charging cable. Because the dual input charger is so compact that a consumer can carry easily the charger and to choose either the in-car connecting component or the house connecting component, depending on the conditions he faces with. When the charging is finished, a consumer can readily grasp and rotate the charger to sequentially wind the charging cable into the continuous spiral groove of the cable storing device.

Abstract: An electric plug includes a receptacle having an engaging seat and at least two resilient conductors spacedly provided on the engaging seat of the plug housing, and a detachable head unit including a supporting platform slidably fitted into the engaging seat in a detachably attaching manner, and at least two plugging heads which are spacedly extended from the supporting platform and are sized and shaped adapted for fitting into an electric socket. Each plugging head has an affixing end penetrated through the supporting platform as an electric contacting link, wherein when the supporting platform is slid in the engaging seat to detachably mount the detachable head unit to the receptacle, the two resilient conductors are conductively contacted with the affixing ends of the plugging heads respectively so as to electrically connect the plugging heads with the AC circuitry of the receptacle.

The connector comprises a terminal base having a plurality of connection terminals mounted thereon and a main frame, wherein the main frame is of U shape and slide tracks are mounted on vertical sidewalls thereof, and the terminal base is of L shape and the connection terminals and trenches are mounted respectively on the front end and sidewalls of the rear end of the terminal base. The terminal base is mounted upside down on the main frame to position the trenches of the terminal base within the slide tracks of the main frame. The push buttons are embedded in the trenches of the terminal base from the outside of the main frame such that the terminal base can slide within the main frame. As a result, the formed connector has a reduced size and forms a female socket and a male plug by slide of the push button.

Abstract: An extractable conversion plug with a safety protection means includes a spring is located between a moveable pillar of a slab and a latching element, inside a connection head, such that the slab can cover conduction pieces through an elastic force from an expansion of the spring, thereby preventing the conduction pieces from being exposed. Upon emplacing the connection head at a base seat, the slab is stopped from moving by a stopper, and the conduction pieces are exposed and are contacted with spring leaves of the base seat, thereby constituting a close-circuit status. When the base seat falls off by accident, a stopping force of the slab is relieved to release a compression force from the spring, which will cause the spring to expand, so as to move the slab to cover the conduction pieces, thereby preventing from getting an electric shock by a careless touch.

Alternately, the cover is flipped up to manually retract the electrical cable after which the cover is flipped down to house the retracted electrical cable when the apparatus is not in use. The cover may be flipped up to manually pay off a desired length of the electrical cable as desired.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a link assembly for connectors, which comprises a main body, a live terminal, a neutral terminal, a ground terminal, and a push rod. The live terminal and the neutral terminal are bent directly under two wire sockets of the main body and turned round and extended out from the wire sockets to form a two-terminal connector, or pressed by the push rod to move a support member downward from a positioning channel at one end of a guide channel of the main body to push against the inner wall of the wire socket to move forward to another end of the positioning channel. The support member is latched by a resilient member, such that the ground terminal is extended out from the ground wire hole and the live and neutral terminals are turned round and extended out from the wire socket to drive the latch member and press on a blocking member to constitute a 3-termainal connector.

One of the connectors is configured for analog signals and the other for digital signals. A video camera utilizing the convertible connector arrangement may thus be selectably converted for analog or digital operation in a secure and efficient manner.

The secondary plug has second terminal members shielded in the casing of the primary plug. Openings are formed on the casing of the primary plug for allowing second, resilient contacts of the charger to extend into the casing and electrically engage the second terminal members when the secondary plug is in use.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of releasably attaching a ribbon cable to a hardware device. In one embodiment, the method comprises attaching the ribbon cable to a ribbon cable connector having an internal retaining mechanism, coupling the ribbon cable connector to a mating connector on the hardware device, and actuating the internal retaining mechanism so that the internal retaining mechanism engages the mating connector to thereby inhibit the mating connector from uncoupling from the hardware device. The method allows a user to easily and securely attach a ribbon cable to a hardware device.

Abstract: An electrical plug assembly includes a secondary plug assembly which releasably mates with a rotatable default plug assembly. The default plug assembly is moveable between a storage position and a deployed position and includes a plurality of default prongs of a first physical configuration. A casing associated with the default plug assembly includes a recess for receiving the default plug assembly in the storage position. The distinct secondary plug assembly includes a main body and a plurality of secondary prongs of a second physical configuration extending from the front of the main body. The secondary plug assembly attaches to the default prongs to assume a mated position, such as by sliding the secondary plug assembly rearwardly over the default prongs. A suitable latch and catch arrangement is used to releasably secure the secondary plug assembly to the default plug assembly. Preferably, the only connection between the secondary plug assembly and the casing is via the default plug assembly.

Abstract: A power supply housing with folding rotatable mounted blades adapted to rotate between a retracted position and an extended position. In a retracted position, the blades are adapted to be plugged into various receptacle adapters for use with receptacle configurations outside of North America. In an extended position, the rotatable blades are adapted to be plugged into a standard receptacle. A rotatable barrier is provided which prevents accidental contact with the blades when the blades are plugged into a standard receptacle, thereby enabling the power supply housing to meet industry standards.

Abstract: An electric plug plate having two symmetrical power blade mounting zones and a grounding prong mounting zone between the power blade mounting zones, a plurality of power blade mounting holes and grounding prong mounting holes respectively disposed at the power blade mounting zones and grounding prong mounting zone, two first metal mounting plates and a second metal mounting plate respectively mounted in respective back recesses thereof and having threaded power blade mounting holes or grounding prong mounting holes corresponding to the power blade mounting holes and grounding prong mounting holes at the power blade mounting zones and grounding prong mounting zone for mounting a pair of metal contact blades and a grounding prong subject to one of a variety of electric plug specifications.
