  • Patent number: 7063576
Abstract: Each terminal (3) of a bulb socket (1) has a power-supplying tab (31) and a bulb connecting portion (32) that are integral with one another. The bulb connecting portion (32) is on an extension of the power-supplying tab (31) extending along an inserting direction into a connector accommodating portion (25). Thus, the bulb socket (1) is reduced in height, the number of assembling steps is reduced, and the deformation of the terminals can be avoided. Further, a reduction in the number of parts leads to reduced production costs.

  • Patent number: 6570331
Abstract: A CRT socket includes interfitting vertical walls between first and second focusing pins. The presence of low dielectric constant air between the interfitted walls prevents the occurrence of corona currents between the two focusing terminal pins of a double focus tube and between a focusing terminal pin and a surrounding insulating resin wall. As necessary, insulating walls that also have at least a double-wall construction are formed as the side walls of focusing terminal pin housings that separate the focusing terminal pins from the outside. A gap of at least 1.0 mm is left between the ends of the focusing terminal pins and the side walls and bottoms of focusing terminal pin housings in the base portion.

  • Patent number: 6528932
Abstract: A CRT socket has a partition wall for partitioning a focus contact storing chamber and a base insertion hole which has sufficient strength, while maintaining a creepage distance between a focus contact and a signal contact sufficient to avoid arcing. The focus contact is formed in a leaf shape. A partition wall on a side of the base portion is interposed utilizing a gap in which a pin-type focus contact is interposed between a base and a focus pin in a cathode ray tube. The outside face of a projecting portion is covered with the partition wall. Increased strength is obtained in the partition wall for partitioning the focus contact storing chamber and the base insertion hole. The creepage distance between the focus contact and the signal contact is lengthened by forcing charges to travel, not only over the surfaces, but also along overlapping surfaces.
