  • Patent number: 10164374
Abstract: A twist-lock connector that includes a printed circuit board component with one or more flexible portions is disclosed. The flexible portions may be formed within an interior portion of the printed circuit board by routing or otherwise removing a portion of the printed circuit board to create one or a plurality of side for each flexible portion. One or more electrical contacts may be positioned on each flexible portion and arranged to be electrically coupled with male electrical contacts that are part of a corresponding twist-lock plug, thereby deflecting the flexible portions. When deflected, the flexible portions exert an opposing, biasing force in the direction of the male electrical contacts to maintain contact there between. One or more of a mounting base and a support base may be clamped to either or both sides of the printed circuit board to provide further stability for the flexible portions.

The insulator includes an engagement end, an interface end that is opposite the engagement end, and a reduced diameter middle portion therebetween. The insulator includes an inner bore that extends through the engagement end, the interface end, and the reduced diameter middle portion. The interface end has a lead-in tip portion that extends outside of the first end of the conductive shell. The lead-in tip portion has a tapered outer surface that terminates in an end face surface and a shoulder remote from the end face surface that defines an outer diameter that is larger than the inner diameter of the conductive shell. An inner contact is received in the inner bore of the insulator. The inner contact has socket openings at either end.

Abstract: A rack server system includes a container, an electrically conductive component, a power supply, a signal connecting base, a server, and an RMC. The electrically conductive component and the signal connecting base are fixed in the container. The power supply is electrically connected to the electrically conductive component for supplying a direct current power. The signal connecting base includes multiple connectors. The server, disposed in the container removably, includes a power input port and a connecting element. The power input port is electrically connected to the electrically conductive component removably. The connecting element is connected to the connector removably. When the connecting element is electrically connected to the connector, the RMC communicates with the server via the connecting element and the one of the connectors and determines the position of the server in the container according to another position of the connector which is electrically connected to the server.

Abstract: The invention relates to a coaxial connector (1), comprising a first and a second connector part (2, 3) and an adapter (4) arranged therebetween. The first and the second connector part (2, 3) include a first inner conductor (5) and a first outer conductor (8), including a first internal cylindrical contact surface (24) and a second internal cylindrical contact surface (25), respectively. In a socket area (17) of the first inner conductor (5), a first mechanical operative-connection means interacts with a second mechanical operative-connection means (11) in the installed state in order to establish a mechanical connection (13) that is effective in the axial direction (z). The first inner conductor (5) protrudes beyond the level of the mechanical operative-connection means (10, 11) so the internal cylindrical contact surface (24) is able to compensate a large axial offset (dz) of the connector parts (2, 3) relative to the adapter (4).

Abstract: A self-adjusting mated pair connector having a conductive flexible wire and a retaining ring to facilitate electrical connections through the mated pair connector. A receptacle assembly rigidly and electrically connects a portion of the receptacle assembly to a receptacle PCB. A plug assembly rigidly and electrically connects a portion of the plug assembly to a plug PCB. During mating of the receptacle assembly and the plug assembly, the flexible wire and retaining ring allow for floating or movement of a portion of the receptacle assembly and/or plug assembly without stressing or damaging the rigid electrical connections with the receptacle PCB and the plug PCB or the connector interfaces. Electrical conductivity can be maintained without needing to angle the entire receptacle assembly and/or plug assembly during misalignment in the mating process. Impedance matching and low inductance of the mated pair connector may allow for desired electrical performance.

Abstract: The invention relates to a socket arrangement (15) comprising at least one plug connector socket (18). Each plug connector socket (18) comprises a contact arrangement (28) with two electrically conductive contact elements (35, 36) and a spring arrangement (38). The two contact elements (35, 36) are supported so as to be movable relative to each other in a movement direction (B) at a right angle or obliquely with respect to a plug-in direction (R). The spring arrangement (38) acts on one or both contact elements (35, 36) in movement direction (B). Due to the pretensioning force of the spring arrangement (38), the two contact elements (35, 36) are pushed or pulled toward each another. With the plug contact pin (19) inserted in the plug connector socket (18), the two contact elements are moved toward each other in movement direction (B) and abut from different sides against the plug contact pin (19). As a result of this, a mechanical clamping effect and an electrical contact are provided.
