The board engaging structure has an engaging portion, which can engage with the circuit board when the circuit board is inserted into the connection slot. The elastic card-ejecting member enters a forced state when the circuit board is inserted into the connection slot by a stroke, and pushes the circuit board out by another stroke so that the circuit board is engaged with the engaging portion when the elastic card-ejecting member bounces.

Abstract: A card edge connector (100) for receiving a module (200), includes an insulative housing (1) having a receiving slot (12) for receiving the module and a pair of arm portions (10) located at opposite ends thereof. Each arm portion has a pair of side walls (15) and a resilient arm (16) with a retaining embossment (162) for locking the module. The side walls are integrally formed on the insulative housing and include a projection (157). A number of terminals (2) are mounted on said insulative housing and extend into the receiving slot thereof. A pair of latches (3) are attached to the arm portions and move with the resilient arms. Each latch includes a base (31) and a stopping plate (37) extending from the base. The stopping plates engage with said projections of the side walls thereby open said resilient arms when the module detaches from the card edge connector.

Abstract: An electric card connector and a manufacturing method thereof are proposed. The electric card connector includes a base having a plurality of electrically conductive terminals, and a lid having a pair of arms formed at two sides thereof for holding an electric card. Pivot parts are provided at the two sides of the lid and hinge parts are formed on the base corresponding to the pivot parts so that when the lid lies on the base, the pivot parts are allowed to slide along the hinge parts without substantial spin. Tenons are formed at front ends of the arms and a latching portion is provided at a front end of the base corresponding to the tenons so that when the lid slides along the base to engage the tenons with the latching portion, the lid and base are mutually positioned and restricted from relative movement.

Abstract: A card edge connector positioning apparatus has a first retaining trough, a second retaining trough and a support member. The first retaining trough is closer to a distal end of the positioning apparatus than the second retaining trough. The support member has a first edge and a second edge at two opposite sides. The first edge is wedged in the first retaining trough to form a movement fulcrum. The second edge is held in the second retaining trough to form a gap greater than that of the first edge in the first retaining trough. Thus the second edge has a greater displacement in the second retaining trough than that of the first edge in the first retaining trough. Thereby a displacement space for installation tolerance is formed for the support member.
