Abstract: A system for mounting pendant lighting fixtures includes an interface component adapted to be at least partially retained in an opening defined by a ceiling. The interface component defines at least one aperture to accommodate a hanging support extending through the opening and configured to support a pendant lighting fixture. The system includes a cover plate defining at least one aperture to accommodate the hanging support. The system also includes at least one magnetic element operable to exert a magnetic bias on the cover plate to secure the cover plate against the interface component and at least partially cover the opening.

Abstract: A display system may include a retaining puck for retaining a product, the retaining puck including a main body having a side surface and a bracket recess, wherein at least a portion of the side surface is continuous except for the bracket recess, and a bracket having a mounting flange configured to mate with the bracket recess, wherein the mounting flange is received by the bracket recess, and an outer surface of the mounting flange is aligned with the continuous portion of the side surface of the main body.

Abstract: A terminal block cover includes a base having a base surface configured to be secured against a terminal block. First and second spaced apart sidewalls extend from and adjoin the base. An outer wall is spaced apart from the base and is secured to the base by and adjoins with the first and second sidewalls. A lateral wall is arranged at a first lateral side and extends between and adjoins the first and second sidewalls, the outer wall and the base, which together provide at least one terminal pocket. An inner surface is provided on the outer wall facing the terminal pocket and has first and second surfaces. The first and second surfaces are at first and second distances respectively from the base surface, and the first distance is greater than the second distance. The second surface retains a terminal nut.

Abstract: A conversion connector supports a suspended lamp, and which can threadily engage within the socket of a recessed lighting fixture, provides for an instant conversion of a recessed light or ceiling socket to a hanging lamp, for installation within any facility. The single male conversion connector has a threaded sleeve located axially upon an insulator. The insulator electrically connects to the wires of a hanging lamp. The insulator fits securely within a base fastened to a housing where the threaded sleeve extends outwardly from the housing for turning into a recessed light fixture, generally an incandescent light socket. The connector provides a housing that orients the connector upwardly for installation. Such a connector can be easily removed by unthreading the sleeve from the socket and the lamp can be replaced with another, or a different reflector, or shade, to add to the uses and displays associated with a variety of suspended and hanging lamps.

An electrical outlet is electrically connected to a source of line voltage by an electrical cable. A retraction mechanism, dispenses and retracts the electrical cable, so that the electrical outlet can be moved between a retracted position adjacent the light fixture with the electrical cable fully retracted and at least one extended position wherein at least a portion of the electrical cable is dispensed from the retraction mechanism. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

Abstract: A wiring box for artistic lamp constructed to include a lamp main body and a plurality of plugs, wherein, the lamp main body encompasses a housing, a conducting ring and a plurality of conducting sockets. The present invention is characterized in that each of the conducting sockets is configured with conducting copper strips, and a base of each of the conducting sockets is provided with a fastening portion. The conducting copper strips thereby realize an electrical conductance with the conducting ring. Conducting clips are further configured on each of the plugs, moreover, each of the plugs is provided with a clip fastening structure. The lamp main body and the plugs effectuate rapid connecting and effectiveness of realizing the electrical conductance, and provide a fixtural configuration that will not fall apart while achieving objective of convenient packaging and storage of the artistic lamp.

Abstract: A suspension lamp includes a switch box, a wire connection base, a plurality of connecting terminals, and a plurality of electric wires. The wire connection base includes a support seat, a cap, a spacer, a first circuit board, a second circuit board, and a plurality of protective jackets. Thus, the operator only needs to mount each of the connecting terminals on a respective one of the protective jackets of the wire connection base so as to form an electrical connection state, so that the electric circuit of the suspension lamp is connected easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the operator mounting the electric circuit of the suspension lamp.

Abstract: A flat circuit device without additional terminals can be connected with a connector. An insulator includes a bent portion and a laminated portion of a first and a second insulators forming the bent portion, and ends of a first conductor and a second conductor extend straightly at the bent portion along a curved surface of the bent portion. Thereby, the first conductor and the second conductor are formed straightly in parallel on an outer surface of the bent portion so that the bent portion performs as a connecting terminal.

Abstract: A mounting device for a lighting fixture includes an adaptor ring which is attachable by screws to an electrical junction box, a cover plate that fits into a central aperture in the adaptor ring to provide a closure for the junction box, and a passage into the junction box for wires from the fixture, a mounting chassis that attaches to the adaptor, at least one gripper on the chassis that is attachable to a supporting member for the fixture, a temporary support member that supports the fixture while wiring connections are made, and a canopy that provides a cover for the adaptor, the chassis, and the junction box.

Abstract: A suspension connector assembly is provided that includes a female connector mounted within a stationary housing that includes a conductive barrel contact surrounded and resiliently supported by an electrically insulative plug body, a movable male connector adapted to be raised toward and lowered away from the female connector that includes a pin contact member having a conductive end insertable within the female barrel contact, and a cam-type latching mechanism for joining the female and male connectors when they are mutually engaged. The length of the male contact member is extended to include an over-travel portion that maintains the conductive end of the pin within the barrel contact of the female connector after the male connector separates a short distance away from the female connector incident to a latching operation.

Abstract: A lighting system uses stretched insulated cables for power with such cables also operating as the supports for a plurality of lamps. The insulated cables are tightly strung in parallel across the ceiling of a room and are provided with twelve volts of D.C. power. One cable is positive and the other is negative, and a pair of cable clamps are then attached to each of the cables with the cable clamps supporting a direct current lamp assembly. A plurality of lamps can be strung in parallel to the cables and adjustable positioning is available through use of the quick release cable clamps.

The appliance holder additionally includes a generally U-shaped clip of electrically insulative resilient material. The clip defines a pair of legs and a bight connecting the legs, the bight and legs being configured and dimensioned to pass around a plurality of other electrical wires. The free ends of the legs are received within and releasably engage the housing for integrating the clip, the appliance holder, the pair of wires, the other electrical wires, and the electrical appliance for movement as a unit.

Abstract: A retractable power center (100) for providing conveniently located electrical power source receptacles (170) is adapted to be mounted in a work surface (104) such as a desk top or similar article of furniture. The power center (100) is manually operable and includes a stationary upper housing (108) received within a slot (102) formed in the work surface, and a clamping arrangement (118, 128, 138) to secure the housing (108) to the work surface (104). In addition, a manually movable and slideable power carriage (150) is utilized to mount the receptacles (170). In response to manually exerted forces on the power carriage (150), the carriage can be extended upward into an open position. Relatively small bosses (180) extend laterally from lateral sides of the carriage (150) and provide a means to support the carriage (150) in its extended position, with the bosses (180) resting on the top portion of the housing (108).
