Supporting Plural, Independent Coupling Parts Patents (Class 439/540.1)
  • Patent number: 6345996
Abstract: A connector engaging/disengaging device comprises a plurality of carrier plates, a pair of side blocks, and a pair of sliders. Each of the carrier plates has lock springs holding cable connectors thereon, and a pair of engaging bosses engaging with the sliders. The sliders have slider grooves engaging with the bosses. Each of the side blocks supports each of said carrier plates slidable in vertical direction, and guides each of said sliders in horizontal direction, and supports a printed circuit board having mating connectors thereon. When the sliders slide in the horizontal-direction, slider grooves of the sliders push up or down the carrier plates to connect or disconnect cable connectors to the mating connectors.

  • Patent number: 6343947
Abstract: An electrical junction block is provided with a latching device adapted to engage a retaining tab in a support structure. The latching device includes a first cantilever beam extending from one edge of an upper surface of the junction block and having a free end extending beyond the centerline of the junction block and a tab channel in alignment with a centerline of the junction block. A second retention beam extends from a location adjacent an opposite edge of the upper surface of the junction block and overlaps a portion of the free end of the first cantilever beam. When a junction block provided with a latch of the present invention is inserted in a frame with a retaining tab, the junction block may be inserted from either of two opposite directions. When the junction block is inserted such that the retaining tab first engages the latch adjacent the one edge, the first cantilever beam is depressed against the tab until the tab channel is reached.

  • Patent number: 6338104
Abstract: In a small and thin memory module for sharing data among electronic devices such as information processing apparatuses, a write prohibit state can be visually recognized. A conductive seal is attached to a predetermined position on a support member, thereby setting the memory module in the write prohibit state. The conductive seal visually indicates the write prohibit state. When the memory module is mounted in a connector section of a card-shaped holder, connector pins are electrically connected to each other via the conductive seal. Thus, a write prohibit mechanism is realized at low cost.

Abstract: At least two connector housings (10) are mounted on a mounting member by one stay (S). The connector housings (10) are connected by engaging a first coupling portion (18) of one connector housing (10) with a second coupling portion (28) of the other connector housing (10). First and second locking portions (16, 26) of the respective connector housings (10) engage and resist separation of the connector housings (10). The connector housings (10) are disengaged by elastically deforming an elastic locking piece (22) to disengage the locking portions (16, 26) and to disengage the coupling portions (18, 28). One of the connected connector housing (10) is mounted on a stay (S) by inserting the stay (S) into an insertion space (23) and locking the stay (S) with a stay locking portion (24).

  • Patent number: 6249636
Abstract: A splice holder is provided for accommodating a plurality of splices of different sizes. The holder is formed with a base from which extend a plurality of splice holder elements, and a plurality of deflectable arms. The splice holder elements are each formed with a primary channel sized to receive and hold a fusion splice. Additionally, a secondary channel is defined between each pair of adjacent splice holder elements that is also sized to receive and hold a fusion splice. The primary and secondary channels are staggered to increase the number of splices the holder can accommodate without increasing the size thereof. Further, the arms are shaped to engage and latch onto array ribbon splices. With the combination of the splice holder elements and the arms, the splice holder can accommodate both fusion splices and array ribbon splices.
