Including A Natural Or Synthetic Rubber Layer Patents (Class 442/15)
  • Patent number: 11097380
Abstract: A composition for welding or brazing aluminum comprises silicon (Si) and magnesium (Mg) along with aluminum in an alloy suitable for use in welding and brazing. The Si content may vary between approximately 5.0 and 6.0 wt %, and the Mg content may vary between approximately 0.15 wt % and 0.50 wt %. The alloy is well suited for operations in which little or no dilution from the base metal affects the Si and/or Mg content of the filler metal. The Si content promotes fluidity and avoids stress concentrations and cracking. The Mg content provides enhanced strength. Resulting joints may have a strength at least equal to that of the base metal with little or no dilution (e.g., draw of Mg). The joints may be both heat treated and artificially aged or naturally aged.

  • Publication number: 20040132363
Abstract: A tear resistant seal made from a recyclable multilayer structure that consists of an oriented polymer film layer a thermal bonding polymer layer on the oriented polymer layer inner surface substantially coextensive thereto, and a reinforcing scrim polymer layer also having an inner surface adjacent and substantially coextensive with the thermal bonding polymer layer. The polymer film layer and the bonding polymer layer are co-extruded layers having a chemical composition that permits recycling without separating the layers. The scrim layer also has a similar chemical composition, permitting recycling following lamination, thereby permitting the recovery of waste material during production runs by the simple recycling of the complete laminated structure.

  • Patent number: 6221459
Abstract: A coupling such as a socket may couple one electronic device to another and may reduce differential thermal expansion between the two coupled devices. For example, a surface mount socket may differentially expand relative to a printed circuit board. By incorporating a structure having a coefficient of thermal expansion that matches the coefficient of thermal expansion of the printed circuit board, differential thermal expansion may be lessened and the possibility of mechanical damage may be reduced.
