    Abstract: An electrical cable of the present invention comprises a plurality of spaced, parallel flat conductors. Each of the plurality of flat conductors was previously integral with each immediately adjacent flat conductor. A dielectric material is holds the conductors in the spaced, parallel relationship. The dielectric material can be a polymer film, a nonwoven, or other polymer materials such as PTFE, or expanded PTFE. The cable of the present invention is made by providing first and second webs of dielectric materials and a third sheet of conductive material. The first and second web materials are bonded to the third sheet of conductive material in a face-to-face layered relationship thereby forming a bonded laminate. The bonded laminate is then incrementally stretched to separate the sheet of conductive material in to spaced, parallel flat conductors.

    Abstract: The cigar and cigarette burn resistant gaming cloth table includes a layer of fire retardant treated knit fabric laminated to a thin sheet of aluminum and wherein the other side of the aluminum sheet is laminated to a layer of non-woven synthetic fabric. Preferably, the top layer knit fabric is laminated to the aluminum via a latex adhesive. The lower non-woven fabric is laminated to the aluminum sheet via latex adhesive. Preferably, the knit layer, prior to being laminated to the thin sheet of aluminum, is treated with a fire retardant and an oil and water repellant chemical composition. Most preferably, the fire retardant and oil and water repellant chemical composition is a phosphorus fluorocarbon. The method includes treating the knit polyester fabric with fire retardant chemical, laminating a thin sheet of aluminum between the knit fabric layer and a layer of non-woven synthetic fabric. Preferably, the lamination is accomplished with a latex adhesive.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional highly elastic film/non-woven composite having a fluid and air impervious core layer and a first and second consolidated layer. The consolidated layers have unidirectional and non-unidirectional fibers. The composite is formed by laminating the air and fluid impermeable elastic core layer between the two layers of consolidated non-wovens. The resulting composite stretches only in the cross-machine direction due to the unidirectional properties of the consolidated non-woven material. The layers are then point bonded or welded together. Preferably the layers are welded by passing the composite between an ultrasonic horn and an ultrasonic bond roll having raised areas for effecting the weld points. A thin inelastic membrane is formed at each of the weld points. The welded composite may then be pre-stretched to rupture the membranes, thereby creating apertures, which makes the composite permeable.

In 25 to 60% of the sheets, said fibers are oriented at 0%±5° with respect to the longitudinal direction of the part, when the matrix is based on aluminum. In the other sheets, the fibers are then oriented between ±20 and ±40° with respect to said direction. When the matrix is based on magnesium, the ultra-high modulus fibers are oriented at 0°±5° in at least 90% of the sheets. This gives a high rigidity and high stability in the indicated direction, which favors applications in the space industry.

Preferably between 0.1 to 3.0 weight per cent copper calculated on the cellulose is bonded to the cellulose.
