  • Publication number: 20080242184
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for collecting and/or playing with circular and spherical objects. The device comprises: a base comprising an open top portion and a closed bottom portion; an open top main body comprising a rim portion, and a circular portion extending downwardly and inwardly from the rim portion to an aperture concentric with the rim portion and coupling with the open top portion of the base; a flange extending horizontally and outwardly about the rim portion; and at least one launching ramp mounted on the flange. Due to the mounting of the launching ramps on the flange the device is capable of accommodating the launching ramps outside the rim portion, that is, outside the outer circumference of the circular portion. Such an accommodation of the launching ramps provides the entire surface of the circular portion as a rolling surface for the circular and spherical objects.

  • Patent number: 6793570
Abstract: A device for depositing and retrieving coins comprises a generally conical-shaped, upstanding body having an exterior tapering to a larger diameter from top to bottom and a header portion at the lop of the body for depositing the objects. A downwardly and outwardly spiraling ramp, below the header portion, extends at least once around the exterior of the body. The ramp cooperates with the exterior of the body on the inside and a lip on the outside to guide the objects as they roll downwardly by gravity. The ramp may include an upwardly extending portion at the lower end of the generally conical-shaped body for launching the objects through the air into the open tray, and/or a staircase portion on the spiraling ramp. A tray adjacent the bottom of the body receives the coins from the ramp.

  • Patent number: 4496149
Abstract: There is disclosed a game apparatus employing a container having located therein an electronic circuit capable of emitting a repetitive audio signal of a controllable volume and repetition rate. The container includes a compartment in which a prize or award is placed by the players. The container is then hidden by one of the players who selects the repetition rate and volume to thereby cause audio signals to propagate. The participants then attempt to locate the container in response to the emitted signals and the first participant who finds the container has access to the prize. The degree of difficulty is determined by the volume and repetition rate of the signal as controlled by the player hiding the same.
