  • Patent number: 11827413
Abstract: The present application discloses a new method of making, using, and constructing packing boxes that can be used for shipping or storage. In one embodiment, a packing box is constructed from a set of assembly pieces. Each assembly piece comprises a square body with four sides. On each side of the square body, there is either a key or a lock. Two assembly pieces can be connected or locked through insertion of a key of one assembly piece into a lock of another assembly piece. Two locked pieces can be unlocked by pushing on the key via the indentation above the lock of one locked assembly piece that receives the key of another locked pieces. Assembly pieces of different shapes required for constructing a box are disclosed.

Abstract: A toy vehicle and track system that allows a vehicle to operate along a single track length by performing U-turns at each end of the track length. When multiple track lengths are attached together, U-turn stoppers are retracted so that the vehicle travels along the entire track assembly and performs U-turns at the ends of the track assembly. Additionally, when multiple track lengths are attached in a loop formation, all the U-turn stoppers are retracted so that the vehicle travels in a continuous circular-like path. A control system is also provided that allows a rear vehicle to initiate operation of a front vehicle.

Abstract: Jewelry items such as rings, bracelets and necklaces are made of pop beads of novel construction. The structure includes a spherical body from which extends in a radial direction an elongate, flexible neck having a ball formed on its distal free end. The neck is sufficiently long to enable it to be formed into a loop so that it can be press fit into a socket formed on the opposite side of the same spherical body, and the neck is adapted to receive a plurality of strung beads to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the item. In a second embodiment, the neck is not long enough to enable it to be formed into a loop, but is sufficiently long to receive at least one strung bead so that bracelets and similar items are made by connecting a plurality of the pop beads together with strung beads being positioned between the respective spherical bodies of the pop beads. Additional embodiments include pop beads that depend from barrettes, eyeglass holders, lanyard hooks, and similar articles.

Abstract: A building element for a set of toy building blocks that are capable of being interconnected in a releasable engagement includes a box with side walls, a top having one or more projections, and an open bottom providing access to interior surfaces for frictional engagement with the top projection(s). The side walls includes a plurality of grooves having entry openings of a given predominant width and a plurality of tongues having distal portions of a predominant width that is greater than the given predominant width of the groove entry openings for interconnecting in a releasable restraining engagement with grooves in another such building element. The tongues are flexible and split longitudinally into sections so that the tongues can be compressed laterally in order to effect the restraining engagement by frontally pressing the tongues into the grooves. The tongues can also be disengaged from the grooves by sliding the tongues from one end of the grooves.

Abstract: A suite of construction toy systems in which mechanical connection is provided by hermaphroditic and functionally identical (genderless) connectors. Both hub-and-rod and building-block construction toy systems are disclosed. In the hub-and-rod construction systems, the use of genderless connectors allows: rods to connect directly to rods by the same means rods connect to hubs (longer rods can be directly formed out of shorter rods); hubs to connect to hubs by the same means that rods connect to hubs; and, in some assemblies hubs to be substituted for rods. An additional useful feature of the genderless connectors used and of the overall design of these toy systems is that many of the different construction toy systems disclosed herein will inter-connect. By the application of this invention, a very wide range of very different and independent toy systems can be designed that freely inter-connect.
