Having Moving Limb Or Foot To Walk Or Simulate Walking Patents (Class 446/294)
  • Patent number: 10765961
Abstract: A housing for providing lateral support to a rotor mast of a remote controlled hovering toy creature. The hovering toy creature has a propulsion system, a control system, a body, and an optional wing actuation assembly for actuating any wings attached to the body. One embodiment of the propulsion system comprises a motor drive driving a primary rotor and a secondary rotor via at least one rotor mast, wherein the primary rotor and the secondary rotor are arranged in a co-axial configuration. The secondary rotor is located at a height on the rotor mast that is lower than the height of the primary rotor. The housing comprises at least a lower segment and an upper segment, the lower segment attached to the body and disposed around the rotor mast below the primary rotor, and the upper segment is disposed around the rotor mast above the primary rotor.

  • Patent number: 10265635
Abstract: A hovering toy creature having a propulsion system, a control system, a winged body, and a wing actuation assembly. The winged body is mounted to the propulsion system, which is controlled by the control system. The wing actuation assembly is mounted to the winged body, and the wing actuation assembly is powered by the control system. The wing actuation assembly drives the wings in an oscillating flapping motion. The wings comprise apertures permitting air passage through the wing, thus reducing the aerodynamic effect of the flapping motion. In this manner, the wings produce a “bouncing” flight action, thus creating a realistic flight motion. In another embodiment, the propulsion system comprises one or more rotors in a coaxial arrangement. The hovering toy creature is operated by either a wireless control device or a timer device.

  • Patent number: 8371898
Abstract: A suction toy assembly and its method of operation. The suction toy assembly has a chassis. The chassis has a front end, a rear end, side surfaces and a base plate. A fan opening is formed through the base plate. A motorized fan is mounted to draw air through the fan opening from the surrounding area. This creates a low pressure condition under the base. A drive wheel is used to propel the assembly. A linkage element is coupled to the drive wheel. At least one extraneous element is provided that protrudes outwardly away from the chassis as a cantilever. The extraneous elements are articulated by movements of the linkage element when the drive wheel rotates, or the chassis moves. Appendages may be mounted on a flexible member to allow for the illusion of climbing.

  • Patent number: 6620021
Abstract: An oscillation device of a motion toy includes a variety of moveable shells configured for receiving the oscillation device, a first transmission box, a first link member, and an end arcuate groove near in one of the shells. One or more cams are provided on the first transmission box. Each cam is coupled to a first shaft of the first transmission box so that during a rotation of the cams as activated by the first shaft, another shell is capable of being pushed by one cam. Hence, the cams and the first link member are operative to move together wherein the first link member moves reciprocally in the arcuate groove, thereby enabling an oscillation by the moving first link member to move the another shell.

  • Patent number: 5281182
Abstract: A radio controlled toy in which movement of the toy upon changing the travelling direction is natural and human-like. An upper body is mounted on a seat plate such that the upper body is twisted with respect to the seat plate. Two legs are mounted on the seat plate such that the direction thereof is changed with respect to the seat plate. The upper body and the two legs are interconnected by way of a link mechanism so that a twisting movement of the upper body and a direction changing movement of the two legs is performed in an interlocking relationship with each other. Further, a rotation controlling unit is provided for stopping rotation or reducing the speed of rotation of a wheel provided on an inner side of one of the two legs when a twisting movement of the upper body and a direction changing movement of the two legs are carried out.

  • Patent number: 5219170
Abstract: An action board game apparatus includes an inclined game board having openings therein, game pieces mountable on the game board partially through selected ones of the openings and capable of being pushed through the openings upon application of a sufficient predetermined force on an upper portion of each game piece extending above the game board, and a rotary driver movable across the game board. The driver has an elongated shaft and wheels attached to opposite shaft ends. The game board includes parallel linear tracks attached along opposite side edges of the board. The game board openings are arranged in parallel side-by-side rows also extending parallel to the guide tracks. The tracks receive the wheels and permit rolling movement to adapt the driver to move across the game board by itself with its shaft spaced above the game board and passing over upper portions of the game pieces.

  • Patent number: 4463514
Abstract: A toy which is capable of moving over a support surface includes a body having a first member. At least a portion of the body is capable of contacting a support surface. The member has ends and is pivotally mounted to the body about one of its ends. A driving mechanism is located in the toy with at least a portion of the driving mechanism located at the second end of the member. This portion of the driving mechanism is capable of moving the toy across a support surface. The member is movable with respect to the body by pivoting about its first end. The driving mechanism is activated upon pivotally moving the member with respect to the body. After being activated, the member is biased back to its original position and in doing so, that portion of the driving mechanism located at the second end of the member moves with respect to the member and engages the support surface to move the toy across the support surface.
