Abstract: A toy includes a base with an upright post, a suspending track member and a moving piece. The suspending track member is mounted on the prop and has a track portion that inclines gradually and downwardly and that has a top side formed with an anti-slipping surface. The moving piece is capable of downward sliding movement along the track portion and includes a body part and left and right arms, each of which has a lower section pivoted to the body part for forward and rearward pivoting movement of the left and right arms relative to the body part, and an upper section that extends from the lower section. The upper sections of the left and right arms are spaced apart by a distance wider than width of the track portion such that the left and right arms can be disposed on left and right sides of the track portion.
Abstract: A walking toy animal in which the legs are hingedly connected to the body of the animal. The animal body is weighted to provide a low center of gravity. Located on the bottom of each leg is a material having a high degree of friction with its supporting surface whereby when the animal is pulled by a leash the animal will simulate a walking motion.
Abstract: A gravity activated walking toy on an elevated flat horizontal surface is provided wherein the walking movement is actuated by a weighted cord hanging from the toy over the edge of the elevated flat horizontal surface. When the angle of the cord hanging therefrom is changed to a vertical position the toy will stop walking when it reaches the edge so that it will not fall off.
Abstract: An animated toy which consist of a fixed supporting structure and a figure which moves relative to the fixed structure. The fixed structure includes an inclined ramp which has a downwardly extending zig-zag slot. The figure includes a body, a pair of spaced legs which are attached to the body, a tail which is fixed to the body and which extends downwardly and rearwardly from the body into the zig-zag slot, an appendage which is fixed to the body and which extends down to the zig-zag slot, and elongated connector which extends through the slot, and a counterweight which is attached to the lower end of the connector. When the counterweight and the connectors swing from side to side, the firgure also swings from side to side in a direction which is opposite to that of the counterweight. As the figure moves from side to side, the tail moves along the zig-zag slot. This causes the body to turn slightly about a vertical axis as it rocks from side to side and enables the body to advance progressively down the ramp.
Abstract: A gravitationally animated toy bird comprised of three main body members axially connected to permit an inner body member to pivotally swing about the axis is disclosed. The gravitationally animated toy bird when released at the top of an inclined plane will simulate four movements of a bird, including its mandibles opening and closing, its tail feathers waggling up and down, its head plume feathers waggling forward and backwards, and its legs walking down the inclined plane.
