Patent number: 11717064Abstract: A jewelry ring designed to be worn on the finger of a hand, having rotating halves that when rotated against one another cause the legs of a Horse or other figure attached to the outward face to move in a naturally articulate manner or run. The rings assembly consists of an inner and outer cylinder that contain one or more inner gears or friction driven cylinders which are positioned perpendicular relative to the center axis of the rotating cylinders and are held in place by the two cylinders. When the cylinders of the ring are rotated in opposing directions the cylinders that are positioned perpendicular to the center axis rotate. The rotational movement of the cylinders that are positioned perpendicular to the center axes cause the leg elements, consisting of upper and lower sections, connected to the cylinder and the Horse or other figure by rotational joints, to move in a fashion designed to mimic the natural leg movement of the horse or other figure on the ring or to appear to run.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2022Date of Patent: August 8, 2023Inventor: James Matthew Kale

Patent number: 9993739Abstract: A system for interconnecting discrete rigid member mating components creates different stable, freestanding three-dimensional figures such as robots. The mating components are positioned in tandem employ an elastic element through bores and each mating component has at least one slot that is aligned with a corresponding slot formed on adjacent mating component or body. The arrangement of the slots and elastic element permits each mating components to be maneuvered onto an adjacent mating component and retains its position without the use of hinges or other securing devices. A reconfigurable toy is constructed by interconnecting a plurality of different sized mating components. The mating components can thus be rearranged to form different-shaped figures including a robot that is reversibly transformable between a first configuration, which can comprise a myriad of forms, and a second configuration that is a cube.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2011Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignee: David Weeks Studio LLCInventor: David Weeks

Patent number: 5601471Abstract: A platform on which is mountable a doll resembling a figure skater, the platform serving as a stage simulating a skating rink. Housed within the platform in a finger-actuated mechanism operatively coupled to the lower end of a shaft extending through an upright bearing anchored on the stage. The upper end of the shaft which is slidable in the bearing is clamped to one leg of the doll to support it above the stage. When the mechanism is actuated by a finger on one hand of the player, it then causes the shaft to rotate and thereby spin the doll. When the mechanism is actuated by a finger of the other hand, it then acts to raise the shaft and thereby lifts the doll above the stage. The player, therefore, by concurrently causing the figure skating doll to spin and lift, simulates a figure skating movement.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1995Date of Patent: February 11, 1997Inventor: Melvin Kennedy
