One-way Work Cut Patents (Class 451/129)
  • Patent number: 10078041
Abstract: One example of the present disclosure relates to a coupon. The coupon includes a first surface with a first circular channel and a second surface opposite and parallel to the first surface. The second surface is spaced a distance D0 from the first surface and includes a second circular channel concentric with the first circular channel. The coupon also includes a toroidal portion between the first circular channel and the second circular channel. The toroidal portion includes a rectangular sectional portion.

  • Patent number: 7196016
Abstract: A method for fabricating recording head sliders made from silicon substrates, is described. A Silicon wafer with a SiO2 overcoat is provided, and a layer of material which is resistant to Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE) is deposited on the SiO2 overcoat. A patterned layer of material which is resistant to Reactive Ion Etching (RIE) is deposited on the layer of DRIE-resistant material to form a primary mask. RIE is used through the primary mask to pattern the SiO2 overcoat layer and the layer of DRIE-resistant material. The primary mask is then removing to expose the layer of DRIE-resistant material which has now been patterned to form a secondary mask. DRIE is then used through the secondary mask to cut the Si wafer into pieces. Finally, the secondary mask is removed.

  • Patent number: 5967883
Abstract: Coriolis motion gears can be produced in a mass-production manner and in low cost as follows: A ceiling surface of a body 8 is formed into a rotary table 9 and a drive shaft 11 is projected from a center of the rotary table. A slant portion 11a is formed at its end, and a turntable 12 on which a workpiece 13 is mounted is supported rotatably to the slant portion. The turntable 12 is rotated by the tooth number difference between the Coriolis motion gear pair A.sub.1 ' and A.sub.2 ' per one turn of the drive shaft 11 to determine a working position of the workpiece. Also, the workpiece 13 is maintained on the turntable 12 so that a swivel center P.sub.1 of the Coriolis motion gear pair is identical with a swivel center when the workpiece is installed into a gear device to take a Coriolis motion. As a result, the work surface of the workpiece takes a moving locus of the Coriolis motion gears integral with the turntable 12.
