    Abstract: An apparatus for treating an ice skate blade is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a rotary brush, an electric motor in signal communication with the rotary brush and operably configured to rotate the bristles about a brush axis, and a receptacle dimensioned to hold the ice skate blade relative to the rotary brush. The rotary brush comprises a hub and a plurality of bristles extending radially from the hub. The apparatus can be utilized to perform a secondary (deburring) treatment to the ice skate blade after a primary (grinding) treatment.

    Abstract: A tool-support system for working on holes of a surface. The tool-support system includes two rails fixed to the surface and having imprints regularly distributed over their length, and a mobile tool-support including a mobile optical system capturing an image of the surface. For each rail, at least one wheel is adapted to be moved on the rail, and includes on its rolling strip counter-imprints complementary to the imprints. A mobile tool carries a working tip, and a control unit is configured to control the movement of the mobile tool-support, of the tool and of the optical system to analyze an image captured by the optical system and to detect the presence of a hole. A tool-support system of this kind can therefore move along the rails without slipping while detecting the holes to work on them.

    Abstract: A cylindrical grinder includes a workpiece support section adapted to support a generally cylindrical workpiece and rotate the workpiece about a rotational axis, and a wheel head adapted to support and rotate a grinding wheel. The wheel head is moved relative to the workpiece support section, along a first direction parallel to a rotational axis of the workpiece and along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction in order to grind an outer surface of the workpiece. The wheel head is turnable relative to the workpiece so that a rotational axis of the grinding wheel can be tilted within a plane substantially passing through the rotational axis of the grinding wheel and the rotational axis of the workpiece, within a range extending across a reference plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the workpiece.
