Drawing Reel Patents (Class 451/183)
  • Patent number: 7585206
Abstract: A grinding machine has a machine bed, a first spool and a second spool mounted on the machine bed. The spools are capable of storing stock to be ground and are rotatable in a coordinated manner. A grinding wheel is mounted on the machine bed. The first spool is capable of continuously unwrapping the stock, the second spool is capable of continuously wrapping the stock and the grinding wheel is adapted to grind the stock during its travel between the first spool and the second spool. The grinding machine can be used to continuously grinding a slender stock. The stock is continuously unwrapped from the first spool and continuously wrapped on the second spool. The stock is ground during its travel from first spool to the second spool.

  • Patent number: 6543111
Abstract: An apparatus for refurbishing a belt, the latter having a width, a length and a degraded surface. The apparatus includes a frame, a grinding roller for selectively and uniformly removing a determined amount of the degraded surface along the belt width, and a positioning member to keep the belt in position during refurbishment, both the roller and the positioning member are mounted on the frame adjacent to each other. The grinding roller defines a helical grinding region thereof and a substantially complementary helical non-grinding region thereof. The positioning member has a belt abutment member spacedly positioned relative to the grinding roller to abuttingly retain the belt against the roller and a belt tensioning member to tension the belt in either side of the roller in the displacement direction of the belt.

  • Patent number: 5624297
Abstract: A buffing apparatus which can buff a thin plate work without causing buckling. The buffing apparatus comprises a plurality of buffing rolls removably secured in a predetermined spaced relationship from each other to a shaft which is driven to rotate, a backup roll disposed in parallel to the buffing rolls and extending over the overall length of all of the buffing rolls, and a holding roll disposed at least between each adjacent ones of the buffing rolls. The holding roll is positioned such that the axis thereof is positioned on a straight line inter-connecting the center of transverse section of one of the buffing rolls and the center of a transverse section of the backup roll and an outer periphery thereof substantially contacts with a contacting plane of the buffing rolls.
