  • Patent number: 6280304
Abstract: The abrasive machine of the present invention is capable of smoothly adjust the pressing force of an upper plate. The abrasive machine includes a plate supporting mechanism, which supports the upper polishing plate and is capable of adjusting a pressing force. The plate supporting mechanism comprises: a base frame; a cylinder unit being provided to an upper part of the base frame, ; a rotary plate being rotatably attached to a lower end of a piston rod of the cylinder unit; a plurality of connecting rods being pierced through the rotary plate, lower ends of the connecting rods being connected to the upper plate so as to rotate the upper plate together with the rotary plate; and a plurality of elastic members being provided between the stopper sections of the connecting rods and the rotary plate, whereby the pressing force of the upper plate is adjusted by adjusting a lifting force of the cylinder unit, which suspends the upper plate.

  • Patent number: 5997390
Abstract: In a polishing machine for simultaneous double-sided polishing of workpieces between upper and lower polish tables, the upper polish table has a hollow center telescopically receiving in a drive hub supported from below. The drive hub is slotted and the upper polish plate has drive latches received in the slots. Lateral dislocations of the upper polish plate with respect to the drive hub are limited by providing stops on the drive latches which engage the outer surface of the drive hub. Additionally, the upper polish plate is suspended by a lifting rod from a double-ended main lifting cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5934983
Abstract: The present invention provides a double-side grinder capable of grinding double-sides of an aluminum disk highly efficiently and affording a ground aluminum disk free of end-face flaw and superior in both surface accuracy and dimensional accuracy while obviating the occurrence of grinding marks extending in different directions. A rough grinding mechanism having rough grinding wheels disposed opposedly to each other is mounted, a finish grinding mechanism having finish grinding wheels disposed opposedly to each other is mounted just after the rough grinding mechanism, and a belt-like carrier having a large number of pockets formed longitudinally of the carrier with aluminum disks engaged therein is passed between the rough grinding wheels and the finish grinding wheels, thereby allowing double-sides of each aluminum disk to be subjected to rough grinding and finish grinding in a continuous manner.

  • Patent number: 5772495
Abstract: A photo filmstrip (14) of a regular length (L) is produced from photo film web (45) having a predetermined width (W). The photo filmstrip and the photo film web have a back surface, an emulsion surface, a pair of lateral edge faces (45a), and four corner edges (45b, 45c) defined between the back surface, the emulsion surface, and the lateral edge faces. At least one of the lateral edge faces and at least one of the corner edges of the photo film web are abraded while the photo film web is conveyed. Photo film dust, created in the abrasion is eliminated from the photo film web. Perforations (34) are formed in the photo film web. The photo film web is cut by the regular length into the photo filmstrip, which is wound into a cassette shell.

  • Patent number: 5645472
Abstract: A polishing device is formed of a pair of rotatable and elevatable upper supporting members provided with ring shape polishing pads at lower surface peripheries thereof, a pair of rotatable lower supporting members provided with ring shape polishing pads at upper surface peripheries thereof, a rotatable and elevatable disc holding device for holding a disc to be polished, and an arm for supporting the upper supporting members and the disc holding device. The polishing device further includes driving devices for rotating the upper supporting members, the lower supporting members and the disc holding device, respectively. The disc is independently rotated in a direction opposite to a rotating direction of the upper and lower supporting members to improve polishing efficiency. By setting rotating speeds of the supporting members and the disc, a regular working mark can be formed on the disc.

  • Patent number: 5613898
Abstract: A device for producing inclines and/or grooves on friction pads, such as brake pads for motor vehicles comprises a table with a mount for the brake pads. The table is linearly moved on a carriage below flat, truncated-conical grind disks which are disposed in pairs and oriented mutually mirror-symmetrical. The table is swivellable about an axis oriented tranversely to the travel direction. The swivel movement is effected by at least one pneumatic cylinder. Control valves or control switches run onto cam ramps on cam bars when the table is driven forward and they initiate the swivel operation of the table. The friction pad is operated on when the table is in the downwardly or upwardly pivoted position, whereby the table is preferably locked in its position during the various grinding operations.
