Additionally, since a smaller amount of material is being removed, more material is left behind to perform additional welding on or other machining operations. Also, the life of the cut-off wheel is extended as well, since a reduced amount of cutting is taking place.

Abstract: A grinding disk base body is fixable to the centering section of a grinding spindle rotor in a centering manner by the base body which includes an inner recess from which two fixed projections project inwardly. The base body also includes a mobile supporting element in the form of a cam disk that is supported on two bearing rods in a recess of the base body. The cam disk has an engagement opening for a torsional tool. When the cam disk is twisted, it can be supported or brought back against the centering section. The cam disk is retracted when the base body is displaced towards the centering section, and is supported against the centering section for the final centering. The fixed projections and the cam disk are preferably arranged in such a way that the action line of the cam disk is in the median line of the fixed projections.

Abstract: To provide a high-rigidity flat grinding device, a substrate flat grinding device has three fastening plate lifting-and-lowering mechanisms that have kinematic couplings and a cylinder rod that move the fastening plate upward or downward. Being a high-rigidity grinding device in which the load of the fastening plate 6 also is a load on the grindstone 14 that does the grinding, there is little deflection in the thickness distribution of the substrates that are obtained, even if they are semiconductor substrates having a large substrate diameter of 450 mm.

Abstract: A grinding machine for grinding a workpiece comprises a machine frame, a bearing device provided on the machine frame and movable along guides, in which a cup-shaped grinding wheel is rotatably drivable about a grinding wheel axis and electrically insulated. The grinding wheel is electrically connected to a generator. The device for profile dressing, sharpening and cleaning the grinding wheel consists of a single cup-shaped electrode, which is drivable about its central axis and is placed on a slide, which allows a working gap to exist between the machining surface of the cup-shaped electrode and the annular abrasive surface. A spark erosion discharge occurs in the gap when a voltage is applied. The grinding wheel can thereby be optimally conditioned by electric discharge machining.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a grinding brush fixing device applying to a pneumatic tool for surface treatment. The spacing between the fixing arms and arc plates of the brush holder is reduced. Thereby, the press-fit face of the axially-extending fixing arm can press the brush collar onto the first press-fit edge and second press-fit edge, which are at two sides of the notches between two axially-extending arc plates. Further, a flexible gasket is radially placed in a space between the fixing arms and the arc plates. When the fixing disc is fastened to the brush holder, the flexible gasket and the brush collar are tightly compressed and firmly secured. Thus, force can be uniformly applied onto the brush collar and the bristles. The present invention can promote the stability of brush's rotation, generate straighter ground strips, prolong the durability of the grinding brush and grinding brush fixing device, and promote the grinding efficiency.
