Multiple Head Patents (Class 452/36)
  • Patent number: 10524482
Abstract: A method is provided for equipping at least one filling tube of an apparatus for filling tubular cases with a gathered tubular case. The method includes opening at least one gripping element of a case gripping device, feeding a gathered tubular case into a region of the at least one gripping element of the case gripping device, and closing at least one gripping element for fixing and axially centering the case. The method also includes moving the filling tube and the gripping device relative to each other towards each other for introducing the filling tube into an interior space of the case, partially opening at least one gripping element, and moving the filling tube and the gripping device relative to each other towards each other, such that the filling tube entrains the case and the case is guided by the gripping elements.

  • Patent number: 10098359
Abstract: A portioning-twisting machine for producing cured sausages includes a product portioning element (3) and a twisting element (4) wherein portions are stuffed into a continuous casing and they are twisted. The portioning element (3) and the twisting element (4) are arranged so that the product moves between them linearly, i.e., without changing direction from when it is introduced into the machine to be portioned to its output forming stuffed units, after being twisted in the casing. The twisting element (4) is actuated in its rotation by a second motor (19), which operates independently from the first motor (10), which actuates the rotation of the portioning element (3). The transmission means (20) that link the second motor (19) to the twisting element (4) are accommodated and protected in a frame (21) provided externally on the side of the housing (2) and includes at least one belt (22).

  • Patent number: 6042466
Abstract: The invention provides a meat product comprising extruded inner core of meat substrate and one or more co-extruded outer layers wholly or partly around the core, wherein at least of the outer layers consists of a meat or fat emulsion; characterized in that the fibres within the meat or fat emulsion layer are distributed substantially uniformly within the emulsion layer and are disoriented, so as to improve the cohesiveness of that layer. The invention also provides an extrusion nozzle for forming the meat product of the invention.

  • Patent number: 5993307
Abstract: A meat encasing machine has a meat emulsion pump in communication with a stuffing tube which terminates in a twister housing adjacent a linker. A stuffing tube with power means associated with the twister housing rotates a strand of sausage extruded from the stuffing tube. A motor is provided for rotating the looper horn. The motor associated with the twister housing is adapted to rotate the sausage strand in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, and the motor associated with the looper horn is adapted to rotate the looper horn in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The foregoing structure is used in sausage making machines arranged in a sausage making station comprised of pairs of machines and conveyors arranged in spaced parallel positions to create a mirror image of each other.

  • Patent number: 5813906
Abstract: A wall panel on a sausage encasing machine has a plurality of apertures with corresponding indicia marks indicating the direction of the apertures. The apertures match sizes of outside diameters of sausage stuffing tubes usable with the machine. This permits the operator to know that a given aperture has a corresponding given diameter. When the casing has been chosen for a sausage run on a particular machine, the operator selects a stuffing horn of a diameter that he or she believes to be appropriate for the casing being used. If a stuffing tube having a diameter of 0.576 of an inch is required, the operator takes the tube that he or she has selected and inserts it through the aperture on the machine that has a 0.576 inch indicia mark adjacent thereto. If the stuffing tube in the operator's hands is loose in the aperture selected, or if it will not even go into the aperture selected, the operator will know immediately that the wrong stuffing tube has been selected.
