  • Patent number: 11602976
Abstract: An air vent for a vehicle or vehicle canopy includes an external and an internal duct. The external duct has an inlet and an outlet. The height of the outlet is less than that of the inlet. The inlet and the outlet are arranged such that, in use, an uppermost point of the inlet is located above an uppermost point of the outlet. The internal duct is in fluid communication with the external duct via one or more openings arranged in the internal duct or at a junction between the internal duct and the external duct. The internal duct is configured to be in fluid communication with an interior of the vehicle via a slot defined by the vehicle. The or each opening is arranged such that, in use, the uppermost point of the outlet of the external duct is located below a lowermost point of the or each opening.

  • Patent number: 10736231
Abstract: A data center may be organized into modules, wherein the modules are purchased pre-configured to provide certain functionality of an information handling system. The modules may include utility modules, information technology (IT) modules, and air handling unit (AHU) modules. The utility module may provide infrastructure for other modules, such as electrical power service infrastructure. The utility module may be passively cooled through openings to controlled environments in other modules. For example, the utility module may include openings for airflow to and from the warm air aisle and the cool air aisle of an information technology (IT) module that has an attached air handing unit (AHU) module. Space in the utility module may be cooled through airflow to and from the cooled IT module.

  • Patent number: 9534802
Abstract: Ventilation device is mounted on inner wall in wind tunnel communicating between indoor and outdoor sides, having a ventilation louver. The ventilation louver includes a louver frame and a movable louver. Horizontal distance from position of gravity center of the movable louver to the inner wall is greater than horizontal distance from the movable louver shaft to the inner wall. A lever is disposed at a lower part of the louver frame to move in a left-right direction along bottom end face of the lower part of the louver frame. A connection element is provided to connect the movable louver with the lever between the movable louver and the louver frame, which is configured to be a slidable structure in the up-down direction, and transform the movement in the left-right direction of the lever to opening and closing movement of the movable louver around the movable louver shaft.

  • Patent number: 8499755
Abstract: A mobile kitchen comprises a housing disposed atop one or more wheel axles and a plurality of appliances disposed within the housing. Each appliance is heated by combustion of a distillate fuel. One or more air channels are disposed about each of the appliances, such that each air channel substantially isolates excess heat from combustion of the distillate fuel from a workspace within the housing. One or more first air blowers are associated with the air channels, and each is adapted to force air through the air channels and vent the excess heat to the exterior of the housing. One or more second air blowers are coupled to the housing, and each second air blower is adapted to vent a predetermined volume of air from within the workspace at least once per minute.

  • Patent number: 8157626
Abstract: A system includes a substantially sealed, substantially airtight cabinet sized for housing a vertical array of heat-producing units, the cabinet having an exterior shell and the system including an interior divider wall disposed inside the cabinet, the shell and divider wall providing an equipment chamber adapted to support the array such that the array cooperates with the shell and divider wall in use to define a first plenum, the first plenum having a first inlet defined by the divider wall for receiving a flow of cooling gas and having a first outlet defined by a plurality of openings through the array whereby the first plenum communicates with the openings in use to exhaust substantially all of the flow of cooling fluid through the openings and hence through the array, wherein the divider wall is configured to allow the first inlet to admit the gas to the first plenum in a substantially horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 7025671
Abstract: A surface mounted device includes a hollowed base body mounted on a building or vehicle exterior, and a hollowed raised body supported and secured on the base body with hollowed elongated members. A free space is formed between the base body and the raised body. An opening or openings are facilitated on, and near the center of, the lower surface of the raised body, to connect the free space with the internal space of the base body through the hollowed raised body and hollowed elongated support members. The base body and the raised body are configured in such a way that the free space between them is narrower at the center than along the perimeter. This forms an airflow path that is first contracting towards the center and then expanding afterwards for any approaching wind direction, providing a venturi mechanism.
