Means For Mounting To Inner Wall Patents (Class 454/14)
  • Patent number: 11828483
Abstract: A support bypass vent having: a beam pass vent having: central body portion with two opposite ends and a hollow center; a terminal end portion associated with each opposite end of the central body portion; a plurality of screw plates associated with the central body portion; at least one adapter port nested within each terminal end portion; and a ventilation line adapter configured to engage with each terminal end portion by engaging with a corresponding adapter port; wherein each ventilation line adapter is further configured to engage with a corresponding ventilation line such that air is configured to travel through the support bypass vent. By utilizing a support bypass vent with a central body portion having a lesser thickness as part of a ventilation system, the support bypass vent may provide a ventilation pathway around a support structure without significantly increasing the resultant wall thickness covering the support structure.

  • Patent number: 10920431
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cover assembly for a drain and vent pipe. The cover assembly comprises an attaching component, a slide latch, a screen wire, a gasket and multiple tooth configuration. The attaching component is positioned between the screen wire and the slide latch. The screen wire is detachable from the attaching component, thereby enabling easy cleaning and replacement of the screen wire. The slide latch includes the gasket made of silicone rubber, which is extruded into a mold into which the multiple tooth are placed. The multiple tooth grips to an outer surface of the drain or vent pipe, and prevents the cover assembly from sliding off during use. The slide latch is attached to the attaching component at one end and to an outer surface of the drain or vent pipe on the other end.

  • Patent number: 7882670
Abstract: A roof ventilation apparatus for a sloped roof having a cap and base plate is provided. The cap has a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface has a flange that defines an opening to a cavity formed between the top and bottom cap surface. The cavity provides a path for air exchange from a roof opening through an air passage formed between the flange and cap top. The base plate has a collar or curb surrounding an aperture that fits inside the cap bottom cavity. The base plate preferably is shaped such that when installed on the sloped roof the cap entirely covers the base plate. Preferably, the base plate includes a collar and an angled edge configured to channel moisture that seeps within the vent cap.

  • Publication number: 20090181609
Abstract: An apparatus for a damper cap for a chimney flue includes a top plate having dimensions conforming to a top of the chimney flue. A bird and animal screen is joined to and extends from a bottom of the top plate. The screen has dimensions for insertion into the chimney flue. A rod joined to a center of the top plate extends downward into the chimney flue. A support structure is secured to an interior of the chimney flue. A mechanism is joined to the support structure and the rod for moving the rod in a vertical direction. In an open position the top plate is above the chimney flue to allow smoke to exit and the screen restricts birds and animals from entering. In a closed position the top plate is proximate the chimney flue restricting airflow into and out of the chimney flue and the apparatus is retracted into the flue.

  • Patent number: 6918827
Abstract: A chimney cap and a method for making the same are described. The chimney cap is more consistently and uniformly manufactured, which permits nesting. This is accomplished by forming the cap from single piece of expanded metal to create a substantially square or rectangular cage where each side of the cage has an integral flange that is bent substantially perpendicular to its respective side. The substantially square or rectangular cage is stretched to form a shaped trapezoidal cage, with a top portion of each side of the cage having a longer span that a bottom of portion of each side.

  • Patent number: 5228882
Abstract: A chimney cap for installation on a chimney, comprising a lid assembly, a bracket for supporting the lid assembly, and revolving clamps pivotally connected to the bracket for releasable attachment to various dimensions of chimney flue tiles. The clamps are pivotable for rotation between a first position for accommodating a first dimension of chimney flue tiles and a second position for accommodating a second dimension of chimney flue tiles, the second dimension being larger than the first dimension. The clamps each comprise at least two oppositely disposed spring loaded cam action toggles for gripping opposite sides of the chimney flue tiles irrespective of the thickness of the tiles.
