Having Exterior Cap Closure For Vent Patents (Class 454/94)
  • Patent number: 11529855
Abstract: A vent for mobile living quarters has a base and a cover coupled to the base. The cover is connected to the base and pivots about a hinge by a mechanism that is coupled to a moving bar. The moving bar is attached to the cover by fasteners on one end and an alignment tab on the opposite end. The cover is user-replaceable from the top side without having to move or disconnect the mechanism. To replace the cover, fasteners are removed and the cover is pivoted away from the moving bar, where the alignment tab disengages from the cover. The cover is then slidable along the hinge to completely remove the cover from the base. A new replacement cover is slid along the hinge and the alignment tab is engaged with the replacement cover. The cover is pivoted down to a closed position and the fasteners are reinstalled.

  • Patent number: 11396255
Abstract: A shelter and storage pod system is provided comprising a pod comprising a top wall, a bottom wall and four sidewalls, where the pod is structurally divided into a top portion and a bottom portion. A first hinge couples the top portion to the bottom portion. One or more ventilation ports are structurally integrated into the top wall, bottom wall, four sidewalls or any combination thereof. A reinforcing frame member is coupled to the bottom wall and comprises a yoke arm and a plurality of wheels coupled thereto. A bedding substrate is disposed adjacent and orthogonal to the four sidewalls, where the bedding substrate is coupled to one sidewall via a second hinge. One or more vertical frame walls define a plurality of storage compartments disposed under the bedding substrate, where the one or more vertical frame walls structurally support the bedding substrate. An adjustable coupling sleeve operatively couples to the reinforcing frame member via the yoke arm.

  • Patent number: 7731574
Abstract: A vent assembly has a base and a cover connected to the base. The cover moves between a closed and open position. A fan is optionally mounted for rotation in the base. A mechanism, including a strut system, raises and lowers the cover. The strut system is connected with the cover at two positions spaced from one another. When the cover is in its closed position, a retention force is provided by the strut system and is distributed about the cover.

  • Patent number: 7004832
Abstract: A collapsible air vent closure is disclosed comprising a frame having a frame aperture. A closure is mounted to the frame for pivoting between a closed position and an open position. A movable vent wall having a vent orifice is interposed between the frame and the closure. The vent orifice provides an air flow path to the frame aperture when the closure is in the open position. The closure inhibits the air flow path to the frame aperture when the closure is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5428957
Abstract: A device is disclosed for shutting off the flow of exhaust gases from the exhaust outlet of a diesel engine having a substantially vertical exhaust stack. The device is especially useful for stopping the flow from one of twin diesel stacks when a tractor or truck having twin stacks from a single manifold is undergoing maintenance in an indoor facility. The device permits an operator standing on the floor to position a resilient pad in sealing engagement with a stack outlet twelve feet or more above floor level and lock the pad into position and to remove the device, again from ground level, when maintenance has been completed and the engine shut down.
