Abstract: A reference time determining method and apparatus are provided, to prevent aberrations in a control instruction execution time caused by inconsistency between a reference time of a terminal and a reference time of a control device in the conventional technology. In this application, the terminal may receive a plurality of pieces of time reference information sent by the network device. When the terminal receives indication information from the network device, the terminal may select, based on the indication information, one piece of time reference information from the plurality of pieces of time reference information as first time reference information. The indication information indicates the first time reference information. After determining the first time reference information, the terminal may determine the reference time of the terminal based on the first time reference information.

Abstract: An electronic device that transmits traffic in a wireless network is described. During operation, the electronic device transmits, using a first transceiver, a first type of traffic in a shared frequency band that is unlicensed. Then, the first transceiver reserves time for transmitting a second type of traffic in the shared frequency band. The reserved time may be determined in response to a request to reserve the time from a second transceiver in the electronic device transmitting the second type of traffic in the shared frequency band. Next, the first transceiver permits, in the reserved time, transmission by the second transceiver of the second type of traffic in the shared frequency band. Furthermore, the first transceiver prevents transmission of the first type of traffic during the reserved time, thereby segregating the first type of traffic from the second type of traffic in the shared frequency band.

Based on events, at this or other stations, signal transmission forms are adapted, for example for transmitting the beacon signals and notification signals. Adaptations of signal transmission include changing how frequently signaling is performed, timing of signaling, adjusting beam width, and/or adjusting directionality.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system of reporting a charging information for a Device-to-Device (D2D) communication established using a wireless network. The method includes recording by a first electronic device the charging information associated with a D2D communication session. The D2D communication session is established between the first electronic device and a second electronic device. Further, the method includes determining by the first electronic device whether the charging information meets charging criteria during the D2D communication session. The charging criteria are generated by a network node in a secure environment of the first electronic device. Further, the method includes reporting the charging information to the network node in the wireless network in response to determining that the charging information meets the charging criteria.

Abstract: It takes a processing time to perform a security process on a time synchronization message, thus the difference of a delay time required for the security process can be made between a time at which the time synchronization message is actually transmitted and a transmission time assigned to the time synchronization message, and therefore, the difference between the actual transmission time of the time synchronization message and the assigned transmission time needs to be reduced. In generation of a secure time synchronization message in the synchronization system according to embodiments of the present invention, most of the security processes is performed in an upper layer which is an MAC layer or a higher layer, and processes including the assignment of the transmission time and assignment of authentication information for authenticating validity of the transmission time are performed in a physical layer.

Abstract: A data detector is disclosed. The data detector includes a memory and processing circuitry interfaced with the memory. The processing circuitry is configured to receive a digital signal representative of a radio frequency signal in the digital domain. The processing circuitry generates a frequency offset estimate derived from the digital signal and outputs the frequency offset to the memory and in turn receives output from the memory a set of coefficients that corresponds to the frequency offset estimate. The processing circuitry then performs a complex correlation between the digital signal and the set of coefficients to determine a maximum peak correlation.

Abstract: A user terminal that is capable of transmitting and receiving device-to-device signals, and has a receiving section that receives system information, which is transmitted from the connecting or serving radio base station and contains at least information about the resources for transmitting and receiving the device-to-device signals, and a control section that, based on the information about the device-to-device signal transmitting/receiving resources, executes control so that the device-to-device signals are transmitted and received in a second frequency carrier, which is different from a first frequency carrier, in which the information about the device-to-device signal transmitting/receiving resources is transmitted. Thus, the increase of power consumption in D2D terminals is prevented even when a frequency carrier that does not have an expanded coverage is used as a D2D signal transmitting/receiving resource where D2D operations are executed in a network in which multiple frequencies are in use.

Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for determining complex weight vectors. A method is performed by a radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining measurements of reference signals. The reference signals are transmitted by another radio transceiver device by applying precoding weight vectors in a sequential order at an analog antenna array of said another radio transceiver device. The precoding weight vectors as well as the sequential order are known to the radio transceiver device. The method comprises determining channel estimates for each individual antenna element of the antenna array by using the measurements in combination with knowledge of the precoding weight vectors and the sequential order. The method comprises determining complex weight vectors to be used for subsequent data transmission from said another radio transceiver device based on the channel estimates.
