Abstract: The present invention provides a mobile terminal with a call function or a texting function. The present invention controls the use of a mobile terminal by a manual operation because of an incoming call during movement. Location information indicating movement of a mobile terminal with a call or a message data exchange function is received by a GPS receiver, the distance and the movement speed are determined by using the measurement information of the two locations at every predetermined time, and whether or not the mobile terminal is moving in accordance with the movement speed is determined by a movement determination unit. When it is determined by the movement determination unit that the mobile terminal is moving, the display of incoming call information indicating an incoming call is set to non-displayed on the display unit, and at the same time, a notification sound from a speaker, etc. is invalid.

Abstract: Arrangements involving portable devices (e.g., smartphones and tablet computers) are disclosed. One arrangement enables a content creator to select software with which that creator's content should be rendered—assuring continuity between artistic intention and delivery. Another utilizes a device camera to identify nearby subjects, and take actions based thereon. Others rely on near field chip (RFID) identification of objects, or on identification of audio streams (e.g., music, voice). Some technologies concern improvements to the user interfaces associated with such devices. Others involve use of these devices in connection with shopping, text entry, sign language interpretation, and vision-based discovery. Still other improvements are architectural in nature, e.g., relating to evidence-based state machines, and blackboard systems. Yet other technologies concern use of linked data in portable devices—some of which exploit GPU capabilities. Still other technologies concern computational photography.

  • Patent number: 10026250
Abstract: An electronic wireless controller remote locking system allows both sales agents and sales prospects to communicate either with the wireless controller, or with a central clearinghouse computer. Contextual data then is provided to the sales prospect while the prospect is visiting a specific property that is the site of a wireless controller and lock installation. Both the agent and the prospect use smart devices, such as smart phones, that have both wide area network capability and low power radio capability. In other situations, contextual data can be sent to a user having a smart device, in which that contextual data pertains to at least one human occupant of the specific property where that wireless controller and lock have been installed, which can be useful where a medical caregiver arrives to visit a human occupant of a specific property that is protected by the wireless controller and lock.

  • Patent number: 10015295
Abstract: A system and method is provided for using a case and/or skin having various components for improving and/or enhancing a camera (e.g., photographic, video, etc.) feature of a portable electronic device, such as a smartphone. The system preferably includes a case and/or skin having a lens (e.g., telescopic lens) that is aligned with a lens on the smartphone. A motor controlled by an application operating on the smartphone may then be used to adjust the focal point of the lens on the case. This can be accomplished via either a wired or wireless communication link, which may involve the inclusion of at least one transceiver (e.g., Bluetooth transceiver) and/or processor on the case. In certain embodiments, the case may also include a flash controlled via the application operating on the smartphone, a memory for storing captured images (or video), and/or a rechargeable battery.

  • Patent number: 10003684
Abstract: A method and a system for synchronous operations of text message data, which may include, on one hand, that a feature phone receives an operation request regarding text message data from a user on the user interface, and the feature phone sends the operation request via Bluetooth to a smartphone. The smartphone can receive the operation request sent by the feature phone. The smartphone can carry out a corresponding operation, and obtain a first operation result. The smartphone can send the first operation result to the feature phone, and the feature phone can receive the first operation result. The feature phone can carry out an operation corresponding to the first operation result and can obtain a second operation result. Optionally, when local text message data of the smartphone changes, the smartphone can send a text message data modification notice to the feature phone, and the feature phone can receive the text message data modification notice.

  • Patent number: 10003958
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a method of pairing wireless devices as well as wireless devices employing the pairing methodology. The wireless devices each possess individual identifiers. The individual identifiers comprise a 64 bit number. Each device also possesses a number of selection indicator identifiers. The selection indicator identifier is a preferably a color comprising a 24 bit number. The individual identifier and selection indicator identifier are combined using a hash function to create a 32 bit hash group identification. A simultaneous holding of buttons on the wireless devices creates the pairing between the devices and stores the 32 bit hash group identification in the device's memory. When two unpaired devices sharing a group identification number are brought within a predetermined proximity to one another, the devices automatically pair.

  • Patent number: 9992322
Abstract: The invention enables digital music content to be downloaded to and used on a portable wireless computing device. An application running on the wireless device has been automatically adapted to parameters associated with the wireless device without end-user input (e.g. the application has been configured in dependence on the device OS and firmware, related bugs, screen size, pixel number, security models, connection handling, memory etc. This application enables an end-user to browse and search music content on a remote server using a wireless network; to download music content from that remote server using the wireless network and to playback and manage that downloaded music content. The application also includes a digital rights management system that enables unlimited legal downloads of different music tracks to the device and also enables any of those tracks stored on the device to be played so long as a subscription service has not terminated.
