Cordless/corded Conversion Patents (Class 455/74.1)
  • Patent number: 11870929
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for telecommunication mediation platforms using a blockchain-based distributed microservice architecture. Upon generation, usage events are assigned a blockchain-based identification, which is used by subsequent mediation microservice processes to enable traceability of a given usage event from endpoint to endpoint in the mediation process. Separate, distributed microservices for file collection, file validation, record validation, record aggregation, and record distribution provide for flexible and finely grained scalability based on where demand surge occurs and what step of the mediation process is experiencing heightened demand. Incoming usage events are ultimately transformed into billing system compatible records corresponding to the appropriate billing accounts for the usage event.

Abstract: A communication device is provided that includes a baseband circuit and a transmitter configured to transmit a first signal and a projected signal. The baseband circuit is configured to determine the projected signal based on an estimated signal state information such that an energy of a shaped projected signal is smaller than an energy of a shaped signal. The estimated signal state information is an estimate of a signal state information based on the first signal and a received signal that is received by a receiver of the second communication device. The shaped projected signal is the projected signal received by the receiver of the second communication device and filtered by a filter of the second communication device. The shaped signal is the received signal filtered by the filter of the second communication device.

  • Patent number: 11601540
Abstract: A system and method allows for access to the contacts of one person on a second person's device, without affecting the content on the second person's device. The contact information, and other information that is stored on a first person's device, can be temporarily downloaded onto a second person's device for making calls or accessing the other information, thereby allowing for contact with someone. Upon logging out of the system on the second device, the information from the first person is deleted. This allows the first person to contact others when the first person's phone is not available for some reason. The system also allows for the downloading of more content and virtual access to the lost/stolen telephone to be able to locate the phone, control the phone or destroy the information on the phone.

Abstract: An underground mine communications upgrade comprises an independent VHF-UHF band to MF band repeater-transceiver translator (RTT) and loop antenna added to a conventional miner's cap-lamp and helmet. VHF/UHF band communications with nearby conventional handsets are translated to medium frequency (MF band) communications that couple mine-wide to copper-core life-lines in all the entries. Such life-lines also do well supporting ultra low frequency (ULF), through-the-earth (TTE) communications with the surface above. Roof mounted borehole MF band ULF RTT's are coupled to the dual-frequency life-lines and bridge the MF band communications on the life-lines with the ULF communications on the life-lines. Abstract: A method for avoiding signal interference between a first RF circuit and a second RF circuit is provided. The first and second RF circuits are co-located and the first RF circuit is configured to operate in a first frequency range. The second RF circuit is configured to operate in a second frequency range, where the first frequency range overlaps, at least in part, the first frequency range. The method initiates with a controller that is coupled to the first RF circuit and the second RF circuit. Then, the second RF circuit is configured to avoid RF signal collisions with the first RF circuit. An apparatus where two RF devices are co-located without causing interference for each other is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8306197
Abstract: An apparatus (100) for interfacing a telephone (12) with a telecommunications network (24). The telephone provides and accepts digital signals (118) and the telecommunications network provides and accepts analog signals (124). The digital signals include digital control content (120) and digital voice content (122), and the analog signals include analog control content (126) and analog voice content (128). A control circuit (142), a first port (106b), and a second port (110b) are provided. The first port communicates the digital signals to and from the control circuit. The second port communicates the analog signals to and from the control circuit. The control circuit converts the digital control content to the analog control content, and vice versa. The control circuit also converts the digital voice content to the analog voice content, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 8254897
Abstract: A method and system for conferencing a landline telephone into a cellular telephone call is disclosed. In response to a landline telephone going off-hook, a cellular telephone corresponding to the landline telephone is identified. When a determination is made that the corresponding cellular telephone is currently engaged in a call, the landline telephone is conferenced into the cellular call. If the cellular telephone is subsequently disengaged from the call, the original cellular call has been effectively transferred to the landline telephone. The inventive method and system may be linked to a cellular-landline conference call service. For example, a user may subscribe to such a service so that the user may automatically transfer a call from the user's cellular telephone to the user's home or office landline telephone when that landline telephone is taken off-hook.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus including a first and second communication units: the first for non-contact communication with a first/second external apparatus through a first path; and the second for communication with the first/second external apparatus through a second path. The apparatus also includes a unit for controlling the second communication unit to start communication with the second external apparatus through the second path, by a request for such communication transmitted from the second external apparatus to the first communication unit. The apparatus also includes a unit for managing information to be held when the request is received. The information indicates a state of communication with the first external apparatus through the second path at the reception of the request. Under the control, communication with the first communication unit specified by the information starts through the second path, where communication with the second external apparatus has been terminated.

  • Patent number: 8224245
Abstract: The IC card is mounted on the read and write device and the first electrostatic induction electrode and second electrostatic induction electrode are formed facing each other. The data signal is outputted from the first transmission and reception circuit to the first electrostatic induction electrode when the data signal is transmitted from the IC card to the read and write device. Then the first electrostatic induction electrode is charged based on the data signal and the electrostatic induction signal of the opposite polarity is induced at the second electrostatic induction electrode. The inverted data signal appears at the second electrostatic induction electrode. The second transmission and reception circuit of the read and write device receives and amplifies the inverted data signal, leading to the non-contact data communication with lower energy consumption and the lower cost.
