Reciprocatable Knife Patents (Class 460/51)
  • Patent number: 11406214
Abstract: A food processing device includes a gear housing, a frame arm extending from the gear housing on a first lateral side thereof to a support end, a drive screw extending between and operably coupled on respective ends thereof with a first face of the gear housing and the support end of the frame arm, and a retention hub operably coupled with the gear housing and extending generally parallel with and adjacent a portion of drive screw. The drive screw and the retention hub are linearly arranged with respect to the frame arm in sequential positions away from the first lateral side of the gear housing. The device further includes a carrier slidably coupled with the frame arm and operably engageable with the drive screw such that the rotational movement thereof drives corresponding linear movement of the carrier along the frame arm. The carrier defines at least one cutting implement thereon.

  • Patent number: 10736453
Abstract: A corn kernel remover includes a fixing groove. A fixing portion for fixing corns is disposed at one end of the fixing groove. The fixing portion is disposed on an inner surface of the fixing groove. Because the corn kernel remover is adopted to fix the corns and a tool for stripping the corns is used to perform the operation of stripping the corn kernels, the corn kernel remover is held directly, so as to effectively prevent the tool for stripping the corns from injuring hands, thereby ensuring safer operation of stripping the corn kernels and more efficient operation of stripping the corn kernels.

  • Patent number: 6872136
Abstract: An ear of corn attached to a power driver such as a drill can be husked and or creamed in a two-step process without detaching the ear from the driver. The shelling device uses a spring-biased grater inside a tube to cut the kernels from the cob, and may be used alone or in combination with the husking device. If desired, the two devices can be connected using an ergonomically designed bracket and used sequentially.

  • Patent number: 6644180
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an assembly for cutting kernels or corn from an ear of corn comprising: a) a container having an open top, an enclosed bottom, a front side, and a rear side, said front side defining a front slit extending from the top of the container to a point near the bottom of the container, said rear side defining a rear slit corresponding to said front slit so that a cutting plane extending through both slits transects the top and bottom of the container; b) a lid positionable atop of said container, said lid defining an orifice eccentrically transected by the cutting plane; and c) a concave pedestal attached to the bottom of said container transected by the cutting plane and adapted to stabilize the tip end of the ear of corn when it is held in an upright position in the container.

  • Patent number: 6463845
Abstract: A preferred device for making cream-style corn includes a corn-receiving member and a blade member. The corn-receiving member incorporates a first open end and defines an interior that is configured to receive at least a portion of an ear of corn. The blade member includes a blade that is movably mounted within the interior so as to be movable between a retracted position and an extended position. In the extended position, the blade is configured to engage an ear of corn inserted into the interior of the corn-receiving member so that, as the ear of corn is rotated about its longitudinal axis, the blade tears open individual kernels of the ear of corn and allows liquid and fibrous contents of the kernels to drain into the corn-receiving member. Systems and methods also are provided.

  • Patent number: 4486605
Abstract: A method for producing an aromatic carbonyl compound represented by the formula (B)-1 or (B)-2: ##STR1## comprising decomposing a hydroperoxide represented by the formula (A)-1 or (A)-2: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are defined in the specification, in an inert gas atmosphere in the presence of an aqueous layer containing an iron salt, a copper salt and an acid is disclosed. Novel m-(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)acetophenone and m-isopropenylacetophenone which are useful as an intermediate for the preparation of medicines are also disclosed. A method for producing m-isopropenylacetophenone comprising dehydrating m-(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)acetophenone in the presence of an acid catalyst is further disclosed.
