Centrifugal Patents (Class 460/65)
  • Publication number: 20140024422
Abstract: A thresher head of a harvester has a rotor rotating in the opposite direction to the progress of the machine and holding thresher teeth alignments through which grains are pulled. The rotor is a hollow cylindrical body associated with a command arrangement producing an independent rotary movement in the same direction as the rotor rotation. An axial concentric take air from the ends to generate a flow towards the rotor wall, the fan being associated with the command arrangement A flow channel between the rotor and the axial fan has a face covering more than half of the cylindrical curvature of the rotor, leaving a lower opening that receives the air flow. The hollow rotor holding the thresher teeth rotates at a lesser speed in the same direction as the axial fan.

  • Patent number: 5873226
Abstract: A harvesting method gathers and threshes grain in the field, leaving behind the straw. It removes chaff and weed seeds from the field with the harvested grain, and separates the chaff, grain leavings and weed seeds from the grain in a separate yard plant. The chaff, grain leavings and weed seeds are compacted and crushed in a mill for use as animal feed. The simplified harvest units have augmented holding tanks, one version of which can be attached to (and detached from) existing farm tractors. An automated integrated yard plant (1) separates and cleans harvested grain and (2) compacts and crushes chaff, grain leavings and weed seeds for use as animal feed.

  • Patent number: 5562540
Abstract: A threshing and separating apparatus particularly for use in a combine harvester includes a threshing rotor having a generally conical outer surface cooperating with a generally conical inner surface of a stator so that crop material fed to the narrower end of the rotor moves between the surfaces to provide a threshing action. At the discharge end of the annular channel between the rotor and stator is provided a separating sleeve which is rotated around the rotor separately from the rotor and stator. The sleeve is perforated to allow radial escape of seeds under a centrifugal force and a fan generates an air flow entering the sleeve from the feed end and pulled out of the sleeve from the discharge end so that lighter materials such as chaff are drawn through the space of the discharge end while the seeds escape outwardly.

  • Patent number: 4904224
Abstract: A harvesting machine for feeding seed plants such as grain into the machine includes a threshing unit and a sieve set for threshing the seed plant and for separating the seeds from the rest of the vegetable material. The seeds are removed from the machine and the residual vegetable material is removed. The threshing unit includes a drum and beaters or flails. The drum is conical and is fitted in the apparatus in a vertical position so that it widens from the bottom towards the top, and the flails are installed on the outer surface of the drum. The sieve set is formed of at least two sieves which are at least partly conical and are nested and a threshing space is located in between the drum and the sieve set. An outer shroud is conical, and the threshing unit and the sieve set are fitted inside the shroud and in between the sieve set and the shroud there is a collecting bin for the seeds and an opening is provided for removing them.
