Strip, Book And Leaf Patents (Class 462/7)
  • Patent number: 10805813
Abstract: A wireless communication device that is capable of radio communication that complies with a radio regulation of the current location, even without having a function for communicating with a wireless wide area network, and a control method thereof are provided. Regulation information that depends on a geographical location at which radio communication that uses a second communication unit is obtained from an external apparatus using a first communication unit, the second communication unit is controlled so as to adapt to the regulation information, and communication that uses the second communication unit is performed.

  • Patent number: 7350820
Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring special services and a method for mailing same are provided. The assembly includes a return postcard, two anchor portions disposed on either side of the postcard, printer track strips having a plurality of holes for engaging a printer, such as a dot matrix printer, and a hole capable of being sensed by another type of printer, such as a thermal printer. The indicia printed upon the mailing assembly including the designator indicating the special service required, are printed using a single color thereby simplifying the printing process. The return postcard is removably attached to anchor portions such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee, at which time the return postcard may be removed from the anchor portions. The assembly is designed to incorporate a form into the return postcard to simplify preparation of the mailpiece for delivery by the special service.

  • Patent number: 6962371
Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring delivery by a special service and a method for mailing same are provided. The assembly includes a return postcard and anchor portions removably attached to the return postcard. The anchor portions include adhesive that allows the anchor portions to be attached to a mailpiece. The return postcard includes a special services designator section indicative of the special service required for delivery of the mailpiece. The return postcard is integrally formed, but removably attached, such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee, at which time the return postcard may be removed. The assembly is designed to incorporate a form into the return postcard to simplify preparation of the mailpiece for delivery by the special service. Alternatively, the postcard may contain a machine readable code that aids in the delivery and tracking of the mailpiece.

  • Patent number: 6231943
Abstract: A record pad is provided having a paper top sheet with top and bottom faces and an underlying record bottom sheet with a transfer medium between them. The top sheet has an upper margin and a pattern (such as a substantially continuous strip) of repositional adhesive is provided on each top sheet bottom face adjacent the upper margin and substantially parallel to the upper margin. This provides a record pad construction which is more user friendly particularly for left handed writers, and makes it simpler to attach a top sheet—once removed from the pad—to another sheet or object. Preferably the top sheet is segmented into three different portions by through cut lines (or perforations or other lines of weakness), and along a securing edge of the top sheet another through cut line is provided, substantially perpendicular to the upper margin. The repositional adhesive strips are spaced from the upper margin or lines of weakness about 1—5 mm (e.g. about 2 mm).

  • Patent number: 5267899
Abstract: A specially constructed label is useful for application of a first face of the label to the inside face of a transparent pane so that it is visible from the outside face, and which label may have indicia applied to its first face. The label first face has self-imaging material, and it is covered by a transparent release liner, with laminating adhesive between the release liner and the label first face. Writing applied to the release liner will be transferred to the first face. The label is preferably part of a business form having a paper sheet attached by adhesive at an overlap area between the paper sheet and the label. Perforations allow ready detachment of the label from the paper sheet.

  • Patent number: 5156419
Abstract: A hinge system for an album, such as a photograph album, includes a plurality of leafs each having a backing layer. The backing layer of each album leaf is folded along its inner edge to form interlocking portions which engage corresponding portions on adjacent leafs to interconnect the leafs. An album cover assembly includes a bracket along the spine of the album for retaining at least one of the interlocking portions to hold the interconnected leafs in the album. The hinge system relies upon the elements formed by folding the backing layer of the album leafs and eliminates the need for additional binding or hinge elements, such as wires, posts or rods that add to the cost and complexity of the album leafs.

  • Patent number: 5024374
Abstract: A mailer type business form includes a top ply with a cutout having an area and position comparable to an address area on a piece of mail. A second insert ply underlies the top ply including at the cutout. The insert ply has a localized coating of self-imaging material formed directly beneath the cutout and only in the area of the cutout. The cutout is preferably completely open, free of any material in it or covering it. However under some circumstances a patch of transparent material may cover the cutout. Other plies may also be included in the mailer including a return envelope, with a bottom ply cooperating with a top ply to define an out-going envelope.
