Patent number: 11904465Abstract: A mechanism is constructed by twelve-axis geometry and controlled by spherical coordinate, so that all torques in twelve axes can be parallelly integrated. Timing belts, pulleys, hollow shafts, and spur gears onto four arc-link sets are included. Via these transmission components, base arc-links can be indirectly but synchronously rotated by base driving modules and terminal arc-links can be indirectly but synchronously rotated by terminal driving modules. The final output torque can be integrated via serial linking and parallel cooperating by the twelve rotating modules. Therefore, four arc-link sets work cooperatively and effectively in group but bear no burden each other. The mechanism can be applied to a multi-axis composite machining center machine or a multi-time element detection measuring bed and shoulder joints or hip joints corresponding to robots.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2021Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Inventor: Wen-Der Trui

Patent number: 11510833Abstract: A human body positioning system can employ a base that supports a first arm via a first hinge, a second arm connected to the first arm via a second hinge, and a third arm connected to the second arm via a third hinge. A human body may be supported within the third arm by a body support. Each of the arm can be configured with a cutout region positioned to provide physical access to a portion of the human body.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2019Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Inventor: Taylor C. Patent number: 5683301Abstract: A movable occupant directed recreational equipment device is disclosed. The device includes an enclosure having at least one opening for entry of an occupant and a support for suspending the enclosure above a floor or ground surface. The support and enclosure are constructed to permit movement of the enclosure relative to the support in at least one predetermined path. An occupant directed controller within the enclosure is provided for directing movement of the enclosure relative to the support in the at least one predetermined path. Preferably, the enclosure and support are constructed to permit movement of the support in at least two predetermined paths through a dual axis pivoting mechanism, although additional movement of the enclosure relative to the support is provided in pathways outside of the at least two predetermined paths which are generally transverse to one another.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1996Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignee: Soft Play, L.L.C.Inventors: James O. Patent number: 5342244Abstract: A human-powered gyroscope comprising a frame for supporting the gyroscope, a ring assembly and a riding station for supporting a human rider on the ring assembly. The ring assembly includes an inner ring, an intermediate ring and an outer ring concentrically disposed with each other. The outer ring is mounted on the frame for rotation about a first axis extending generally diametrically of the outer ring. The intermediate ring is mounted on the outer ring for rotation relative to the outer ring about a second axis extending generally diametrically of the intermediate ring. The inner ring is mounted on the intermediate ring for rotation relative to the intermediate ring about a third axis of rotation extending generally diametrically of the inner ring. Two of the axes of rotation of the rings are oriented obliquely with respect to the other of said axes of rotation.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 1993Date of Patent: August 30, 1994Inventor: Kevin R.
