The rotating play device also includes a base frame coupled to the center post in a fixed relationship, such that the rotating platform is concentric with a portion of the base frame.

Abstract: The application provides a space vehicle comprising a payload bay comprising a pressure vessel comprising a passenger bay module adapted to provide and maintain habitable conditions for twenty or more passengers during a mission traveling from earth to space and back to earth, the habitable conditions comprising (a) one or more service galley within the pressure vessel and adapted for access to the passenger bay module, and (b) the pressure vessel comprising a lavatory module physically separated from and rotatably abutting the passenger bay module, the lavatory module comprising an entry structure allowing access from the passenger bay module into the rotatably abutting lavatory module, the lavatory module comprising rotatable components comprising a lavatory component, the rotatable components being adapted to form the entry structure, wherein relative rotation of the rotatable components is adapted to produce sufficient centrifugal force in the lavatory component to maintain fluids in a sink and a toilet.

Abstract: Disclosed is an amusement device capable of increased sustainment of user interest. The present disclosure presumes a rotating amusement device comprising an amusement device proper and a rotating base. The amusement device proper further comprises a playroom, an airtight member, and a ventilator means. The playroom is a region surrounded by partition members that partition an amusement region, and the airtight member is disposed below the partition members that configure the wall units of the playroom. The interior of the playroom further comprises a ventilator means for creating a convection current in the air inside the playroom, and a plurality of balloons that are positioned in the playroom are made to float about wildly by the ventilator means.

Abstract: A carousel ride in which vehicles may move at differing speeds, in differing directions, and each be independently positioned relative to a load/unload platform. In one embodiment, a carousel ride is provided that includes: (1) an inner ring assembly including a first ring supporting vehicles and a drive system operable to rotate the first ring about a center axis of the carousel ride; and (2) an outer ring assembly including a second ring, concentric to the first ring, supporting vehicles and a drive system operable to rotate the second ring about a center axis of the carousel ride. During a portion of a ride, the drive system of the inner ring assembly operates to rotate the first ring at a first rotation rate, and the drive system of the outer ring assembly operates to rotate the second ring at a second rotation rate differing from the first rotation rate.

Abstract: A round ride that creates a rotating ride experience with a varying frequency of vehicle elevations. The round ride includes a central hub assembly with a hub and a hub drive that rotates the hub about a central axis at a hub rotation rate. The drive assembly includes support arms extending outward from the hub, upon which are mounted passenger vehicles. The support arms are pivotally mounted to the hub. The round ride includes a track structure with a ring-shaped running surface extending about the central axis and with a track drive rotating the running surface about the central axis at a track rotation rate in the same or differing direction and rate as the hub. The vehicles are vertically supported by the running surface which is contoured to define a series of hills and valleys, and the running surface and the hub are independently rotated about the central axis.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a bowl having an opening. The opening includes a plurality of movable members movable between a first position and a second position. The first position is a closed position in which the movable members are connected and support items in the bowl. The second position is an open position and allows a hand to enter the opening. The apparatus includes a circuit that includes a switch operably connected to said moveable members such that a light turns on upon said moveable members being in a second position.

Abstract: The coated multilayer structure comprising a polymeric base layer, a zero valent material barrier layer, and a top coat on the zero valent material barrier layer, the top coat comprising a soluble compound capable of reducing the permeability of the multilayer structure to gas or vapor. The zero valent material barrier layer can also enhance barrier to UV light. A method for enhancing the gas or vapor barrier properties or the UV light barrier properties of a multilayer polymeric/inorganic structure is also disclosed. According to one embodiment, Si coated polyethylene terephthalate containers are coated with a gas or vapor barrier enhancing top coat. A method for recycling containers coated with a zero valent material barrier layer is also disclosed.

Abstract: A hemispherical rocking toy for children is disclosed. The hemispherical shell is fabricated of a rigid plastic material and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface with an open top for the receipt of children therein. The shell comprises a greater thickness in its lower extent than its upper extent to provide an annular seating surface in a horizontal plane. A pair of planar sheets is fabricated of a plastic material, each having an upper linear edge and a lower semi-circular edge and a horizontal planar edge therebetween. The lower circular edge is adapted to be received in contact with the interior surface of the shell.

Abstract: Applicant's invention discloses an inclined platform which rotates freely upon a base having an annular ring with at least three legs extending between the annular ring and an inclined collet. The inclined collet has an upper tapered bearing race and a lower bushing sized to rotatably receive a shaft mounted perpendicular to the underside of the inclined platform. The inclined platform is preferably covered with a pliable material with padding extending between the pliable material and the top side of the inclined platform. Flexible handles extend from opposing sides of the inclined platform to aid in supporting the user thereon. The user shifts their body weight to rotate the inclined platform, thus spinning the user about the base.
