  • Patent number: 11977428
Abstract: A system and methods for analyzing motions of items and humans who carry them are disclosed. The system a sensor configured to be connected to either a movable object or a person carrying the object. The sensor will generate data that represents movement of the object. The housing also holds a swing detection system that analyzes data generated by the sensor and identifies data representing a swing event. After determining that the data corresponds to a swing event, the swing detection system will determine whether a data transfer processor is communicatively connected to an external system. If it is connected, the swing detection system will transfer the data set to the data transfer processor for communication to the external system. Otherwise, the swing detection system will save a first copy of the data set to a temporary data storage device.

  • Patent number: 9697540
Abstract: A system and method automatically report electronically recorded golf scores and other information to a golfer during or upon completion of a round of golf. A golfer operates a mobile terminal during play of a round of golf. The mobile terminal displays at least an electronic score card on its display. The mobile terminal may optionally display other information, such as advertisements, that may be of interest to the golfer. During play, the mobile terminal receives inputs from the golfer to record the golfer's scores. Other inputs may include selection of a displayed advertisement or purchase of a displayed product or service. Once the scores have been entered, the mobile terminal wirelessly transmits the scores and/or other information to a central server via a wireless subsystem. The scores and/or other information are then automatically communicated from the server to an email account and/or personal web portal account of the golfer.

  • Patent number: 9592436
Abstract: An integrated golf club and analysis system that measures and analyze the performance characteristics of both: 1) a free golf swing without impact with a golf ball and 2) a golf swing with ball impact analysis. Free swing analysis provides critical information needed to analyze swing style so that dynamics swing characteristics optimization can be evaluated throughout the entire swing without ball impact, while impact analysis provides critical information on ball impact location on the club face, however, they cannot be measured simultaneously since ball impact eliminates the ability to identify the swing metric peaks such as velocity if it were to occur after ball impact. To achieve both, an integrated electronics golf club head comprises multiple types of sensors for measuring club head motion, impact and spatial location information with a weight and balance of a regulation golf club head.
