  • Patent number: 9669946
Abstract: A method of launching and retrieving a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) (10). The preferred method of launch involves carrying the UAV (10) up to altitude using a parasail (8) similar to that used to carry tourists aloft. The UAV is dropped and picks up enough airspeed in the dive to perform a pull-up into level controlled flight. The preferred method of recovery is for the UAV to fly into and latch onto the parasail tow line (4) or cables hanging off the tow line and then be winched back down to the boat (2).

  • Patent number: 8866206
Abstract: An integrated circuit device includes a plurality of fins on an upper surface of a semiconductor substrate and extending in a first direction, a device isolation insulating film placed between the fins, a gate electrode extending in a second direction crossing the first direction on the insulating film; and an insulating film insulating the fin from the gate electrode. In a first region where a plurality of the fins are consecutively arranged, an upper surface of the device isolation insulating film is located at a first position below an upper end of the fin. In a second region located in the second direction as viewed from the first region, the upper surface of the device isolation insulating film is located at a second position above the upper end of the fin. In the second region, the device isolation insulating film covers entirely a side surface of the fin.

  • Publication number: 20100090406
Abstract: A game piece is struck by a golf club, and is propelled through the air in order to target a vertical pole in the ground similar to the action in the game of horseshoes. The game piece consists of a spherical object simulating a golf ball having a pair of arms. The game, while providing a novel experience sought by many persons, also tends to aid players in properly striking a golf ball in the game of golf. If the spherical object which can be an actual golf ball is properly struck at its center without a club induced slice, the game piece will turn over and over in an orderly fashion without wobbling from side-to-side. If it is not properly struck, it will wobble in its flight through the air which indicates that the player has not hit the spherical object properly.
