Abstract: A machine for making covered elastic yarns, including a plurality of covering units, where each of the covering units has a spool for feeding an elastic yarn, a system for feeding a non-elastic yarn, a member for tensioning the covered elastic yarn and a bobbin for collecting the covered elastic yarn, where the system for feeding the non-elastic yarn has a microspindle which rotates about an axis and at least one bobbin for feeding the non-elastic yarn separated by and arranged upstream of the microspindle along the sliding path of the non-elastic yarn and arranged outside the rotation axis of the microspindle, the microspindle including a channel which is coaxial to the rotation axis for the passage of the elastic yarn.
Abstract: A device (1) for transmitting torque for driving an auxiliary unit, in particular an alternator, preferably in a motor vehicle, and for damping torsional vibrations, said device comprising driving means (2) that can be driven about an axis of rotation (4) by an internal combustion engine, and output drive means (3) rotatable about the axis of rotation (4) that are arranged and designed for driving the auxiliary unit, wherein at least one axial front face of the driving means (2) and/or of the output drive means (3) carries permanent magnet means (10, 11) which allow torques to be transmitted between the driving means (2) and the output drive means (3) and which allow torsional vibrations to be dampened, the poles (13, 14, 15, 16) of the permanent magnet means (10, 11) being arranged in at least one radial plane, characterized in that the permanent magnet means (10, 11) comprise a plurality of permanent magnet elements (17) arranged next to each other in the circumferential direction, these permanent magnets (
Abstract: A drive transmission device includes a first pulley rotationally driven by a driving unit; a second pulley; a belt extended around the first pulley and the second pulley; and a supply unit for supplying a voltage such that the first pulley and the belt are attracted to each other and that the second pulley and the belt are attracted to each other.

Abstract: An oil skimmer of the endless belt type which is transportable as a unit is disclosed. The unit has an adjustment for adjusting the location of the axis of head pulley rotation and a floating tail pulley to assure accurate tracking of the belts on the pulleys and consistent and appropriate tension on the belt. The tail pulley features L-shaped spokes having legs that provide limited pulley-to-belt contact, minimizing oil transfer from the belt to the tail pulley, and also providing a mechanism for forcing oil against a descending belt reach to provide enhanced oil pick-up.
Abstract: An improved friction roller including arcuate sections applied to an external surface thereof, the sections configured to receive and engage a magnetic flexible element such as a cable, and including a magnetic field generating coil means for attracting the cable to the arcuate section and thereby to the frictional roller.
