  • Patent number: 10884519
Abstract: The invention provides a scroll wheel module, which includes an adjustment wheel, a scroll wheel and a transmission mechanism. The adjustment wheel includes an adjustment portion. The scroll wheel includes a contact portion. The transmission mechanism has a first end and a second end opposite to each other, the first end is connected to the adjustment portion of the adjustment wheel, and the second end is adjacent to the scroll wheel. When the adjustment wheel is rotated, the first end of the transmission mechanism produces a displacement relative to the adjustment portion such that the second end of the transmission mechanism applies a force to the contact. A magnitude of the force is proportional to a rotational force of the scroll wheel.

  • Patent number: 6071206
Abstract: A two speed pulley assembly comprised of a sheave, a brake member, an output member, and a brake. The sheave receives a rotational input and also includes a series of carrier arms which cooperate to define a circle which is coaxially with the sheave. Rollers are rotatably supported on said carrier arms. A braking member is rotatably supported relative to said sheave and includes portions defining a first raceway in contact with the rollers. An output sleeve is also rotationally supported relative to the sheave. The output sleeve includes portions defining a second raceway in contact with the rollers. The brake inhibits rotation of the braking member when engaged while permitting rotation thereof when disengaged. Mounted between the sheave and the output sleeve is a one-way clutch bearing. The clutch bearing engages when rotation of the sheave attempts to or begins to overrun rotation of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5709626
Abstract: Motion is transmitted by means of a kinematic chain, comprising four members--a driving, driven, intermediate and support members. The driving, driven and supporting members rotate about a common axis. The intermediate member, by virtue of its operative linkages with the driving, driven and supporting members, rotates about the common axis and translates either parallel or, according to another version, perpendicular to the common axis. The supporting member is stopped during motion transmission. The intermediate member moves with respect to the driving, driven and supporting members during motion transmission. The directions of these motions define angles with the direction of motion of the driving member in the plane parallel or perpendicular, respectively, to the common axis. Changing the at least one of the angles can change the ratio of the speeds of the driving and driven member.

  • Patent number: 5122099
Abstract: A planetary friction roller drive (30, 66, 84, 26) adapted particularly for use in driving automotive accessories such as an alternator wherein provision is made for delivering engine torque to the ring roller element (26) of the planetary friction drive and for connecting drivably the sun roller element (30) of the friction drive to a driven accessory such as an alternator and wherein a torque flow path characterized by two speed ratios is effected by a compound planetary carrier assembly (50) as a preload at the friction drive contact locations between the planetary rollers (66, 84) and the ring roller element (30) and between the planetary rollers (66, 84) and the sun roller element (30) of the planetary assembly is established by a preload spring (134) actng in a tangential direction, the reaction torque for the planetary friction drive being established by a selectively engageable brake (136) acting on the sun roller element (30) thus effecting a ratio transition from unity.

  • Patent number: 4916976
Abstract: A hydraulically, vacuumatically controlled infinitely variable speed drive transmission connecting an input shaft to an output shaft, comprising a plurality of sets of adhesion rollers mounted radially of the input and output shafts in diammetrically opposed relation to one another. The adhesion rollers are movable radially of input and output shafts under centrifugal force imparted thereto by the rotation of the aforesaid shafts. A pair of self-adjusting, floating disks are mounted to either side of said adhesion rollers and are engageable with said rollers at varying radial distances of the rollers from the axis of the input and output shafts whereby to vary the rate of rotation of said disks. The transmission further includes a planetary gear arrangement for coupling the input shaft to the output shaft and which is responsive to variations in the rate of rotation of the disks to cause the speed ratio between the input and output shafts to correspondingly vary.
