With Nonratio Brake Patents (Class 477/60)
  • Patent number: 9212735
Abstract: An arrangement of a transmission (1) and an attachment module (4), in which the transmission (1) has a driveshaft (3) with a central, first axial bore (12) for supplying lubricating oil and the attachment module (4) has a connecting shaft (5) mounted in the housing by at least one roller bearing (6). The driveshaft (3) and the connecting shaft (5) are connected to one another, in a rotationally fixed manner, by a splined connection (8). The supply of lubricating oil for the spline connection (8) and the at least one roller bearing (6) occurs by way of the central, first axial bore (12) of the driveshaft (3).

  • Patent number: 8272994
Abstract: An apparatus includes a clutch control unit to control a control amount of a clutch and a brake to temporarily stop an output side rotating body while the clutch is disconnected. A clutch-control-amount detector detects the control amount of the clutch and an engagement start detector detects an engagement start of the clutch when a rotational speed difference between the input side rotating body and the output side rotating body becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value. An engagement-start control-amount detector detects the control amount of the clutch in the engagement start and a clutch-correction-control-amount deriver derives a correction control amount of the clutch based on the control amount of the clutch at the time when the engagement start is detected after the output side rotating body is temporarily stopped. The clutch control unit feedback-controls the control amount of the clutch based on the correction control amount.

  • Patent number: 7338407
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus to enable a torque transmitting mechanism within an automatically shiftable power transmission to disengage at vehicle stop such that the slip within a fluid drive device is reduced. When vehicle movement is required a main pressure regulator trims the torque transmitting mechanism into engagement. A method of reducing engine load at vehicle stop by employing the apparatus of the present invention is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7267633
Abstract: The state of a fluid coupling in a motor vehicle powertrain is selectively controlled during neutral idle operation of the engine for increasing the engine temperature to a desired level. The fluid coupling includes an input member connected to the engine and an output member connected to the transmission, and the output member is selectively grounded under specified enable conditions to impose an engine load for raising the engine operating temperature. The output member is released to resume normal operation of the powertrain when the enable conditions are no longer met or an estimate of the fluid temperature in the coupling reaches or exceeds a predefined temperature.
