  • Patent number: 11833384
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a resistance band apparatus which overcomes the problems traditionally associated with resistance training—time consuming resistance changes during the same exercise, time consuming adjustments between different exercises, and non-uniform resistance through the exercise motion depending on the height and limb length of the person—by incorporating multiple bands of different resistances into a single apparatus that can be engaged or disengaged from contributing towards the total resistance provided during an exercise, and which can be attached and detached at different points along the length of the apparatus to variations of fixed anchors to provide uniform tension and length for exercise motion. Both the resistances of the different bands and the points along the length of the apparatus at which they are attached are clearly indicated to facilitate easier recording of progress, as well as apparatus setup per exercise for the user.

  • Patent number: 11660488
Abstract: A spring exercise system and method of exercising that allows a user to perform a full body, low-impact style of exercise. The system utilizes a non-fixed extension spring that stretches and generates resistance when pulling and pressing forces are applied. The extension spring or springs are stretchable between multiple types of interchangeable grasp handles which may include any combination of a resilient loop handle with or without double “D” rings, a single rigid handle, and/or a resilient double loop handle. The spring may have a swiveling link or other mechanism/structure that joins the free ends of the spring to the grasp handles allowing a 360° rotation. The grasp handles are used with combinations of hands and feet, arms and legs to generate an extension of resistance that stretches, strengthens and tones muscles, enhances flexibility, core strength, joint stability, and muscle balance.

When the mounting end is pushed manually to permit the protuberance to extend beyond the seat, the protuberance is turned angularly over the seat so as to abut against the rest wall, thereby retaining the tubular insert to the anchored mount.

Abstract: An exercise device and methods for performing physical exercise that improve strength, conditioning, and flexibility of an operator in a functional way using multiple body positions and exercising multiple muscle groups while keeping the spine in a safe and natural position, being simple to manufacture and use, and being compact and portable. The exercise device includes an elongated member, a hollow member, handles, a foot board system, and at least one resistance band. A resistance band is secured to the elongated member and the hollow member, and slidable movement of the hollow member and the elongated member relative to each other by the operator stretches a resistance band, which creates resistance to the movement, thereby exercising, strengthening, and conditioning the operator. The operator may use the exercise device in a number of configurations to perform a number of exercises in a number of body positions.

Abstract: The present invention provides in some embodiments, a device for stretching muscles having a series of loops. The device can be formed from strips of elastic material periodically joined in order to form loops. More particularly, a top portion of elastic material can be laid on top of a bottom portion of elastic material. The top and bottom portions of materials can be joined in a variety of ways. A user of the device can engage different body parts with the loops and use the device to facilitate a dynamic stretch of a muscle. Dynamic stretching involves active contraction of the muscle prior to the stretch.

Abstract: The invention is a therapeutic sports towel that integrates the features of a sports towel and a stretching device into a single device that incorporates the desired properties of the two. The therapeutic sports towel is thus absorbent and convenient to carry on a golf bag or drape over a shoulder, while also having the appropriate resistance and recoil properties for therapeutic stretching. Further, the combination of a towel material with a stretchable material ensures that the therapeutic stretching has a predetermined maximum length, to prevent the overstretching that is commonly associated with therapeutic stretching bands and so forth. Various embodiments of the invention include one or more pockets for holding ice or ice packs, such that the ice or ice packs may be retained in place against sore or pulled muscles by tying or fastening the therapeutic towel appropriately around the body or a body appendage.
