  • Patent number: 11918853
Abstract: An adjustable ab wheel has a main shaft and two wheels mounted on the main shaft. The main shaft has two external threaded sections. Each one of the two external threaded sections has a thread direction opposite to the thread direction of the other one of the two external threaded sections. Each one of the two wheels has a threaded hole axially defined through the wheel and mounted with a respective one of the two external threaded sections. When a user rolls the two wheels forward, the two wheels approach each other and abut against each other. Abutment between the two wheels allows the two wheels to brake themselves, so that the adjustable ab wheel can prevent users from over rolling the two wheels forward and suddenly falling down to the floor.

  • Patent number: 11298579
Abstract: A resistance supplier for weight training has two switching assemblies, two planetary gear sets, a one-way output bearing, a spindle, and at least one weight. The two switching assemblies respectively control input, output, and fixing of the sun gear, planet carrier, and ring gear in the two planetary gear sets. The output of one of the two planetary gear sets is used as the input of the other planetary gear set. Therefore, the two planetary gear sets provide three reduction ratios and transmit torque to the spindle through the one-way output bearing to drive the weight to rotate. By using reduction ratios of the planetary gear sets to increase the output requirement of the user and switching gears via switching assemblies to change reduction ratios, the resistance supplier can provide sufficient and diverse training resistances with a single weight, thereby reducing the volume.

First and second cables have respective first ends operatively coupled to the spring and respective second ends extending away from the housing. Respective movements of the first and second cables away from the housing cause the spring to move toward a biased configuration. The exercise apparatus includes a transmission configured such that an outward movement of the first cable in the absence of an outward movement of the second cable causes all of the springs resistance to be transmitted to the first cable, an outward movement of the second cable in the absence of movement of the first cable causes all of the spring's resistance to be transmitted to the second cable, and an outward movement by both cables causes the spring's resistance to be distributed equally between the first and second cables.

Abstract: The Individual Workout System allows an user to perform a complete workout regiment to build muscles without the use of weights, while achieving a cardiovascular workout at the same time. The system could be worn by an individual during aerobics, walking, jogging or doing menial tasks. The Individual Workout System is uniquely design to use resistance to build muscle without restricting an individual to weights or equipment. By placing a thin devise used to create resistance in the place of the bodies joints and flex points, such as the shoulders, elbows, knees and waist, causes resistance for the muscles in that region of the body.

Abstract: A resistance apparatus for use with exercise devices includes an axle and outer housing for rotatably mounting the axle therein. At least one inner housing includes an opening for receiving the axle therethrough so that the inner housing is fixably mounted on the axle. The inner housing is rotatably mounted inside the outer housing to permit rotation of the inner housing along with the axle within the outer housing. At least a first tensioned member is disposed within the inner housing. The first tensioned member includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the tensioned member engages an engagement area of the inner housing. The second end of the tensioned member engages an engagement area of the outer housing. The tensioned member creates a rotational restoring force between the inner housing and the outer housing.

Abstract: A muscle toning kit includes an exercise garment having a first resistance article and a second resistance article. The first resistance article and the second resistance article cooperate to facilitate the exercise of at least one muscle group of a user. The first resistance article is adjustable to provide a range of user selected resistance levels, while second resistance article has another range of user selected resistance levels so that as the user maneuvers the exercise garment, its adjustable pressure opposing structures facilitate the toning and conditioning of the at least one muscle group of the user. The method includes wearing and deforming the exercise garment from its original shape through natural extension and flexing actions of the user to facilitate providing a resistive force to condition the at least one muscle group of the user.

  • Patent number: 8241232
Abstract: A foot pain relief device can advantageously provide multiple angles of inclination, directed pressure against the plantar fascia, as well as ease of manufacturing and assembly. A toe strap, which is fastened around the ankle and the toe(s), ensures that the toes are flexed up. This toe flexing tenses the plantar fascia of the foot. A ball strap can be threaded through a hole in a ball and then operatively coupled with the toe strap. When operatively coupled to the toe strap, the ball strap keeps the ball positioned on the bottom of the foot while allowing ball mobility. The mobility of the ball can provide directed pressure on at least one component of the plantar fascia. Notably, the simultaneous combination of tension to the plantar fascia and directed pressure to the component(s) of the plantar fascia can be particularly effective at relieving foot pain.
