Abstract: A pool skimmer guard assembly for keeping a pool skimmer free from obstructions includes a rod that is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. In this way the rod can be bent into a U-shape. Thus, the rod can be positioned in an intake of a pool skimmer having the rod curving outwardly from the intake. A pair of grips is each coupled to the rod such that each of the grips is positioned in the intake of the pool skimmer when the rod is bent into the U-shape. Each of the grips has a gripping edge that is perpendicularly oriented with the rod. In this way the gripping edge of each of the grips can engage a respective edge of the intake thereby inhibiting the rod from being dislodged from the intake.

Abstract: The present gate handle includes a push button that is pushed before the gate handle is slid from a closed position to an open position on top of a support member. The support member includes a resilient button that extends into the gate handle and is pushable out of the gate handle by the push button. The support member further includes side slots that are engaged by side slides extending from the handle.

Abstract: A data center cabinet has a base frame and a top cap attached to the base frame. The top cap has a main panel having a front edge, rear edge, first side edge, a second side edge, top surface, and bottom surface. An opening is formed through the main panel and is inset and spaced apart from the front, rear, first side, and second side edges. A removable door is positioned over the opening and is hinged to the main panel such that the door can rotate between an open position and a closed position and be removed from the main panel.

Abstract: A multi-component door assembly for a vehicle includes a lower door portion rotatably coupled to a body of the vehicle and including at least one receiving aperture defined therein, and an upper door portion selectively removable from the lower door portion and including at least one post configured to be received within the at least one receiving aperture for removably coupling the upper door portion to the lower door portion. At least one trim cap is configured to selectively cover and conceal the at least one receiving aperture.

Abstract: A vehicle door frame includes a pillar and a bridging member. The bridging member is connected to a lower part of the pillar and extends in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle. The pillar and the bridging member are bonded together by a plurality of weld beads. Each of the weld beads is apart from another weld bead and from an extension line of the another weld bead.

Abstract: A playpen door, including a door frame; a door body movably mounted on the door frame; and a detection assembly mounted on the door frame and the door body and configured to detect open or closed state of the door body. The door body is hinged to the door frame. A locking assembly is arranged between the door body and the door frame. The locking assembly may be opened by a switch. The detection assembly is mounted away from a position where the door body is hinged to the door frame. When the door body rotates relative to the door frame, the detection assembly may be triggered, at which time the door body may be sensed to be open. When the door body returns to the closed position again after opening, the detection assembly may be triggered, at which time the door body may be sensed to be closed.

Abstract: A snow bike intake, snow bike conversion kit, and/or air intake pod snow bike conversion kit, having: a throttle body coupling; an elbow-shaped intake duct coupled to the throttle body, a pre-filter body cage coupled at a rear thereof to the duct, and a textile cover fitting about the cage. The duct has an interior angle between 40 and 60 degrees. There are a plurality of flat (interior and exterior surface) sensor mounts disposed about and through the duct, including an octagonal ring of sensor mounts circumscribing the duct body. The cage has a flat front opposite the rear that has a larger diameter than a diameter of the rear. The duct has an aspect ratio of exterior angle length to diameter no greater than 3.5:1 and the duct and prefilter combined has an aspect ratio of exterior angle length to diameter no greater than 4.5:1.

Abstract: A mechanical closure device comprises an enclosure having four sides, a top and bottom and defining a discharge opening at the bottom. A floodgate assembly is interiorly removably mounted to the enclosure and comprises a pair of doors pivoted on a hinge assembly between an opened position and closed position. In the closed position, the doors seal against the flange to prevent passage of water through the discharge opening. A discharge drain assembly is preferably disposed on one door and has an opened and a closed position. An appendage is provided to facilitate opening and of the door. Upon removal, the floodgate assembly is stably positionable on a multipositionable service rack. A multipurpose tool is employed unlatching the floodgate doors and slidably removing the floodgate assembly.

Abstract: A window frame protection system, for holding an exterior and an interior protective panel against a window, includes an extruded lineal having a first stacked screw boss, an exterior protective panel and a groove with covering cap. Anchoring screws driven through the exterior panel and into the stacked screw boss hold the panel to the lineal. A chamber for a second stacked screw boss, and a part of the extruded lineal, is to attach an interior panel to the window frame when additional window protection is needed and when the exterior of the window frame is not accessible. The second stacked screw boss may be inserted into the chamber during construction or, if the chamber is left open, may be added only when needed. A sash support on the interior of the window frame receives a sill riser for meeting higher design loads on the window sash.

Abstract: A manway cover assembly can be used to control access to the interior of a railroad tank car or other type of tank or structure. The manway cover assembly can have a tightening system, such as a screw tightening system and an attachment system. The attachment system can have a ledge configured to engage a flange that surrounds an opening. A cover can control access to the opening. The tightening system can secure the ledge to the flange and lock the cover over the opening. A manway cover assembly can also be used for selectively sealing an access passageway of a tank. The manway cover assembly can have an internal seal that remains sealed independent of movement between the cover and the opening within a set range of movement.

Abstract: An air filter and dust collector are provided. In one embodiment, the air filter includes a filter element coupled at a first end to a end cap and at a second end to a first side of a rectangular filter flange assembly. The rectangular filter flange assembly includes a central aperture open to an interior region bounded by the filter element. A rectangular gasket is disposed on the second side of the filter flange assembly and circumscribes the central aperture.

Abstract: A storm protection system for covering the opening of a building with a flexible material. The system includes a bracket having a first panel and a second panel, the panels each having a surface, the first surface and the second surface of the bracket having a plurality of protrusions disposed thereon (and various embodiments thereof). Another embodiment utilizing at least one inclined planar portion connected to a planar portion of the bracket at the first edge of the inclined planar portion and an elongated member connected to the at least one inclined planar portion for securing a flexible material. A last embodiment includes a planar bracket having a first end and a second end, the planar bracket made of a resilient material. All embodiments operable to hold a flexible material (fabric, screen . . . etc.) over an opening to a building to protect the opening during a storm.

Abstract: A flood barrier system includes vertical elements and panels extending between such vertical elements, the foregoing components having various features for inhibiting passage of flood water therethrough. One or more vertical elements may have a multi-layer base plate which forms a watertight seal with vertical gaskets disposed on the vertical elements. One of the vertical elements of the system may comprise a stanchion post which may be formed of extruded aluminum. Another vertical element which may find potential use in certain applications may be secured to a store front mullion. The panels in such system may include specially adapted gaskets to reduce instances of leakage. The vertical elements and panels allow the present flood barrier system to be flexible and readily deployable as a barrier to flood or flood risk.

Abstract: A system for mounting a secondary panel within a window frame of an existing window. The system includes a rigid panel, an elongated deformable bulb, and an elongated carrier. The bulb has a resilient, rounded portion, a base section, an extension extending from the base section, and a crosspiece coupled to a distal end of the extension. The crosspiece includes a pair of shoulders at opposite ends of the crosspiece. Each shoulder extends laterally away from a centerline of the bulb and protrudes laterally beyond the extension. The elongated carrier has a receiving slot opposite a panel gap configured to receive an edge of the panel. The receiving slot has a neck laterally narrower than an interior cavity of the receiving slot. The receiving slot is configured to securely receive the crosspiece of the bulb and to confine the shoulders of the crosspiece.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a device and a method to protect building openings with plywood panels during storm. The device and method is also provided to protect inside of buildings when windows or doors are broken. The bracket of this disclosure is simple and easy to make, and it allows attachment of plywood panels without shaping to cover windows and other building openings of any shape.

Abstract: An improved molded door skin of a synthetic door is disclosed to have a recessed portion for removably installing a replaceable panel thereon, by changing the replaceable panel with another one having different patterns, the molded door skin is therefore variegated; the molded door skin further has a receiving groove circling the recessed portion for receiving a batten having decorative effects, by combinations of different battens with different fashionable replaceable panels can better improve the molded door skin in decoration and esthetics.

Abstract: A cap for covering a lift hole of a lifting lug of a concrete slab, which cap comprises a flat circular skirt and a central portion, wherein from the lower surface of the flat skirt extends one continuous circular protrusion or a plurality of smaller protrusions in circular formation, wherein the central portion extends upwards from the skirt and is formed to be pressed down so that the upper part of the lifting lug breaks through the central portion.

Abstract: A closure plug for closing an opening has an annular sealing section which is provided to rest against an edge of the opening, and an expansion section which is formed in one piece with the sealing section and can be adjusted from a mounting position, in which the sealing section has a mounting diameter at least at one axial end, to an expansion position, in which the sealing section has a larger diameter.

The window frame includes a holding section that holds the window body via the gasket from an airframe outer side. The conductive layer extends to a portion of the window body facing the holding section.

Abstract: A clipping structure configured to clip a key cap of a key module on a housing having an outer surface and an inner surface oppositely disposed is provided. The clipping structure includes a main part, a sealing part, and at least two latch parts. The main part is connected to the key cap and has a sticking portion. The sealing part is disposed between the sticking portion of the main part and the outer surface of the housing. Each latch part includes an end with a latch buckled to the inner surface of the housing. Each latch part includes another end tightly bonded to the main part. Each latch part is leaned against the inner surface of the housing by each latch, so that the outer surface of the housing is pressed by the sticking portion of the main part. A key module with the clipping structure is also provided.

Abstract: A screen assembly includes a core having an edge and first and second opposite side surfaces. A retainer, or edge treatment, is coupled to the edge of the core and extends outwardly from the core. The retainer includes first and second resilient limbs having respective edge portions defining a mouth. First and second cover portions overly the core and exterior surfaces of the retainer. The first and second cover portions wrap around the first and second limbs and are disposed through the mouth such that the edges of the first and second cover portions are retained by the limbs. Various screen supports and accessory interface members also are provided.

Abstract: A storm trim for holding a panel over a window for protection against impact of objects carried by wind during a storm. The storm trim includes a lineal cap and a lineal base. The base may be used with a window frame, incorporated into a window frame or be used in glazing surrounds or shutters. The base carries a stacked screw boss to receive and securely hold the anchoring screws that are needed to hold the panel over the window. The anchoring screws do not extend through the lineal base but remain within it. When the storm trim is not in use, the cap covers the lineal base.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for disassembling a set top box is disclosed. The method includes providing the set top box including: a top cover, a base, and cover retention clips, wherein the cover retention clips are V or U shaped for securing the top cover to the base, providing a release fixture including a retention clip release finger, inserting the release fixture into the set top box, disengaging the cover retention clips using the retention clip release finger, and removing the top cover from the base.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an insert holding system, a kit, and a method of installing the same. In several embodiments, the kit and/or system is constructed so that it can be installed in a standard interior door by modifying the existing door. In other embodiments, the insert holding system is installed in a door during the manufacturing of the door. The system and kit can also be configured to be installed in a wall, furniture, or another item or fixture. In several embodiments, the insert is constructed in a modular frame for easy replacement and exchange of the insert, if damaged, or if a different functionality is desired. For example, the insert could include a screen, a window, a mirror, a poster frame, a picture frame, a poster, a chalk board, a dry erase board, a cork board, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: A tether-retained dialyzer port cap has a port cap which is removably connectible to a port of a dialyzer to block the port, and a retention strap that has a first looped end, a second looped end, and having an elongate portion integrally linking the first looped end and the second looped end. The first looped end is adapted to engage around curved sidewalls defining a circumferential surface of a dialyzer component, and the second looped end is i) integrally molded to the port cap, or ii) adapted to fit around an outer surface of a cap stem of the port cap. A dialyzer with the tether-retained dialyzer port cap further is described. The tether-retained dialyzer port cap tethers a port cap to a dialyzer for safe and convenient retention of the cap near the dialyzer for ready re-use to reseal a port of a used dialyzer for disposal handling.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for covering an end of a housing for an engine. In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a structure, a flange, and a retaining feature. The structure is configured to cover an opening of a housing for an engine. The flange is comprised of a deformable material and is configured to extend from the structure around a circumference of the structure. The retaining feature is configured to extend from a middle portion of the structure such that the retaining feature and the flange form a channel configured to receive an end of the housing. The retaining feature is configured to extend into an inlet of the engine through the opening of the housing to form an interference fit with a portion of an interior surface of the housing.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a refrigerator door is provided. The method includes installing a display portion on a rear surface of a front decoration, the front decoration defining a front external appearance of the refrigerator door, coupling door decorations to both side ends of the front decoration, the door decorations defining both side external appearances of the refrigerator door, coupling cap decorations to upper and lower ends of the front decoration to which the door decorations are coupled, the cap decorations defining top and bottom external appearances of the refrigerator door, injecting foam liquid into a space defined by the front decoration, the door decorations and the cap decorations, and coupling a door liner to a rear of the front decoration.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for a cover having at least a portion able to undergo elastic deformation and including at least one opening disposed at least partially in the at least portion of the cover able to undergo elastic deformation is provided. The locking mechanism includes at least one blocker movable between an open position where the at least one blocker is disengaged from the at least one opening, and a locked position where the at least one blocker is engaged in the at least one opening. In the locked position, the at least one blocker prevents at least partially elastic deformation of the at least portion of the cover. A cover and locking mechanism assembly is also provided.

Abstract: A gate apparatus includes a frame that is approximately in a shape of a letter “U”, a gate that opens forward or backward, a rotational support device that supports the gate so that the gate rotates and moves upward relative to the frame, a locking device that locks the gate at a closed position, and a pedal device that unlocks the locking device. The pedal device includes a pair of pedals on the both sides of the gate, and a push-up member that is linked to the pair of pedals. The push-up member includes a push-up surface that tilts when the pedal is operated. The push-up surface tilts so that the push-up surface moves upward and comes in contact with the gate on the side closer to the pedal that has been operated, and applies a push-up force and a rotation force to the gate.

Abstract: A manhole cover is described with a supporting structure device comprising force distribution ribs for supporting a top surface of the manhole cover which can be driven over, and a hollow force distribution cylinder arranged substantially centrally, in particular a circular force distribution cylinder, for supporting the force distribution ribs, characterised by a force distribution plate to relieve the load on the force distribution cylinder, wherein the force distribution plate at least substantially completely covers an underside of the force distribution cylinder in relation to the top surface, and wherein the force distribution ribs transform smoothly into the force distribution plate.

Abstract: A flood barrier device that includes a fluid-tight flexible chamber with front panel, a rear panel, opposite lateral sidewalls, top end walls, bottom end walls and an opening to allow the introduction of fluid into said chamber. The device includes a pair of support members that include a rigid spar connected to the chamber and having a bend at a medial position to orient a first section of the chamber in a first horizontal plane and a second section of said chamber into a second upright plane and a re-sealable waterproof seal device between the chamber and an adjacent fluid tight flexible chamber.

Abstract: A barrier for the inside of a home. The barrier includes two partitions that slide relative to each other to increase and decrease a distance between ends of the barrier. The partitions slide into and out of confronting relationships with each other. The partitions engage each other at upper and lower locations and further at a medial location where an elongate member of one partition is received in a tube engaged to the other partition. A threaded piece upon being turned brings pressure to bear upon an end of the tube such that the partitions can be incrementally expanded apart and thereby pressurized between two locations within the home so as to block off one portion of the home. The threaded piece is slideable along the elongate member.

Abstract: A locking core plug includes an upper plate, an insertion portion extending outward from the upper plate and forming an outer perimeter, and a locking mechanism positioned within the outer perimeter of the insertion portion. The locking mechanism includes a rotating member, a plurality of locking arms having a first end connected to the rotating member and a second end extending outward toward holes in the outer perimeter, and a plurality of guides fixedly mounted to the upper plate. Each guide engages a corresponding locking arm to convert the circular movement of the first end of the arm as rotating member rotates into a generally linear movement of the second end between a release position retracted toward or within the outer perimeter of the insertion portion and a locking position extended outward from the outer perimeter of the insertion portion.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus for front door bracket in vending machine includes a door body, a bracket mounted on the door body, and a fixing plate fixed on the bracket. Two first fixing tabs are extended from the bracket. A first through hole is defined in each first fixing tab. Two bending portions are extended from the base plate corresponding to the two first fixing tabs. A first mounting hole is defined in each of the two bending portions corresponding to the first through hole. Two first fasteners pass through the corresponding first through holes and the first mounting holes to fix the bracket on the door body. Abstract: A low-profile barrier and method of installation is provided including a barrier door located in an opening defined by a frame having a pair of upwardly extending arms connected to a lower cross member. In an un-installed position, the lower cross member has a curvature biasing the upwardly extending arms outward. In an installed position, the curvature of the lower cross member is compressed to zero so that the lower cross member lays flat against a lower surface.

Abstract: A gate apparatus having an automatically returning gate, an upper latch operated by an upper button, and a lower latch operated by an upper finger handle. Each of the latches must be opened to open the gate. The gate returns without the aid of a spring to a position close to the closed position or to the closed position by the structure of a pivot or hinge connection between the gate and the frame of the gate. Gate tubes are rectangular in section for their entire length. Wood panels are included in the gate and excluded from other portions of the gate apparatus to make the gate stand out to the user seeking to open the gate.

Abstract: Embodiments disclose an apparatus for enclosing and insulating an opening in a structure such as for an air conditioning unit or a sleeve. The apparatus includes a cover having a first section and a second section, wherein the first section is designed to be adjustable in relation to the second section; one or more insulating members positioned along an interior of the cover; two or more fasteners designed to secure the cover to an A/C unit sleeve or a structure. In another embodiment the apparatus cover is a single section and not adjustable. A method of installing the same is provided, as are other aspects.

Abstract: An insulating cover is adapted for sealing an attic access panel. The insulating cover includes a substantially rectangular fabric layer and at least one rod for raising the fabric layer above the attic access panel. A cavity is defined by the fabric layer and is adapted to contain a volume of stationary air. A seal is formed around a perimeter of the fabric layer. The seal includes multiple fiber strands of material that are adapted to conform to a shape of a floor surface. The fiber strands are adapted to seal gaps formed where the cover meets the floor surface.

The system features a hatch having an opening sized to receive the antenna mounting plug, block or plate. The hatch features handles which aid in installation and removal of the hatch. Multiple configurations of antennas or sensors attached to the plate can easily be removed and quickly installed to configure an aircraft for a specific mission. The system also features a billet machined hatch body, field replaceable seals and easily adaptable antenna or sensor mounting configurations which provide unprecedented ruggedness, antenna options, and field supportability.
