Abstract: A pet window that is both removable and lockable and of appropriate size to facilitate the penetration of a pets head and which is incorporated into the original manufacture of window sections or the manufacture of said window sections replacement for vehicles and vehicle accessories. The purpose of the pet window is to facilitate access to the exterior environment by a pet from a location inside a vehicle or within the confines of a truck bed when access by the pet would otherwise be denied by said window section.
Abstract: According to the invention, a window (11) having an aperture (40) therein also includes a moveable, secondary window assembly (10) mounted on one side of the window aperture (40), such that the secondary window assembly (10) is moveable from a position closing the window aperture (40) to a position wherein the window aperture (40) is at least partially open. The secondary window assembly (10) includes a frame member (20), a secondary window (26) mounted within the frame member (20), and mounting means (41, 42, 51) for mounting the frame member (20) upon the window 11. The mounting means (41, 42, 51) includes at least one flexible hinge pin (41) affixed to the frame member (20) and positioned through a hinge pin aperture (42) through the window (11).
Abstract: A removable automobile side window includes a transparent window panel with a central cut out opening and a smaller delivery window on the outside of the opening.
Abstract: A vehicle tailgate handle latch mechanism including a pair of latch assemblies carried by casings adapted to be fixed adjacent each side of the tailgate for engagement with an associated striker member on the vehicle body. A pair of control rods are journaled on the tailgate for rotational movement about their own axis disposed parallel with the axis of the gate hinges. A central lift handle rotates the control rods about their axis such that their outboard hooked ends release pawl elements of their associated latch assemblies causing spring biased ratchet members to automatically rotate to then open position unlatching their strikers allowing the tailgate to be moved to its open position.
Abstract: A window, especially for an automobile body, which consists of two sliding glass sections pivoting about a common superior axis in such manner as to constitute a total glass surface, somewhere between a quarter circle and a semi-circle in form, limited above by the straight sides of the body. The sections are operated by means of a locking catch or by means of a toothed gear control mechanism.
