Abstract: A gate assembly comprising an enclosure, the enclosure being accessible by a first gate and a second gate, and gate operating means, wherein unlatching of the first gate causes the second gate to remain latched, and the second gate cannot be unlatched until the first gate is latched.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic window system consisting of a frame, two movable window casements, one on the outside and one on the inside of a building, and of a mechanism, which opens and closes the afore-mentioned window casements independently of each other. Glass panels having certain physical and optical properties may also be included, as well as a motor-driven blind and a rolled curtain, which together regulate the climate and temperature of the building. In one embodiment, the heat flow between the glass panels can be manipulated.
Abstract: A device for tight closure of an opening in a wall including a panel which closes the opening partially and opens to one side of the opening by pivoting about a substantially fixed axis on the other side of the opening at a substantial distance therefrom. The panel is at least approximately aligned in the direction transverse to the wall with an edge of the opening. The panel closes the opening except for a gap parallel to the axis between the edge of the opening and an inside edge of the panel which is substantially parallel to the axis. A mobile flap closes the gap. It is pivoted to the panel about a second axis extending along the inside edge of the panel. At least one link is pivoted about a substantially fixed third axis on the same side of the opening as the first axis and about a fourth axis joined to the mobile flap.
