    Abstract: A printed game card, sheet or ticket set can incorporate multiple individual tickets separated by perforation, scoring or folds, for example. In various embodiments, the game card or sheet is printed with at least one playable game on each individual ticket, wherein the games can be instant win games with game indicia and one or more layers of varnish or rubber-based material that is removable to reveal the indicia. Each ticket on the game card, sheet or ticket set can include individual validation and/or activation indicia. The indicia can be human-readable and/or computer readable. Further, the entire game card, sheet or ticket set can include game or sheet activation indicia, such that when the entire sheet is sold, the entirety of individual game tickets can be activated simultaneously. When the individual game ticket validation codes are read, embodiments of the present invention can operate to individually assess whether the ticket is a winner, as well as whether the ticket has previously been redeemed.

The separating of the wrapping portions exposes a repositionable multi-layered adhesive that is used to securely bond at least one wrapping portion around the circumference of the item being wrapped at the end of a wrapping cycle.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for the attachment of a zipper to a reclosable package or bag, particular packages or bags of relatively larger sizes. Pinch rollers separate the flanges of the zipper so that the interior walls of the flanges are pointing upward, then hot-melt adhesive is sprayed downwardly onto the flanges. The zipper is then guided over the edge of the horizontally-oriented package or bag by a tube with a longitudinal slot. The package or bag, with the zipper attached, is engaged between a driven-belt apparatus with a nip formed between opposed belts, thereby applying consistent and even pressure to the zipper flanges and assuring that the hot-melt adhesive forms a bond which is consistent, reliable and strong.

The multiple pot is used to raise and transplant seedlings of plants. The invention also relates to a method of fabricating the pot. The pot is designed especially to promote growth of roots across the side walls of the individual pots after transplantation. Also, the resistance encountered when the multiple pot is unfolded is reduced. Further, the individual pots are uniform in size. These feature arise from the facts that the connector portions are formed by applying a waterproof paste discontinuously and that a water-soluble paste is not applied around the edges of the individual pots created when the multiple pot is unfolded. Hence, a coating of the paste is formed in none of these portions. The multiple pot is fabricated by continuously carrying out three steps.

    Abstract: In order to provide for the secure and orderly storage of flat objects on a carrier web, in particular unfilled plastic bags on a plastic carrier web, the invention provides a method and an apparatus for the sequential delivery of preformed plastic bags having a unilaterally extending attachment flap. The bags are delivered onto a moving carrier web also made of plastic film. Various alignment and positioning devices place the plastic bags seriatim on the carrier web while a heat-welding mechanism attaches the flap of each bag to the carrier web in a predetermined region. A tear line or perforation line permits subsequent removal of the bag from the web while the flap remains attached thereto. The apparatus includes power sources for the cyclic actuation of the alignment and welding mechanism in synchronism with the speed of delivery of the bags to and from the machine. The apparatus also includes a reciprocating storage container permitting the zig-zag layered stacking of the web with the attached bags.

A marginal portion provided on one of the leaf members enables the sheet to be secured by adhesive or other suitable form of attachment to a newspaper or magazine, a package container, or a package label. In various embodiments of the invention an information readout is provided on reverse sides of the calculator including one embodiment wherein the printed format of the slide and sleeve components is applied to one surface only of the respective leaf member.
