Abstract: Convertible furniture includes a first arm, a first seat, and a base. The first seat is adjacent the first arm and includes a head panel, a mid-panel, and a foot panel. The first seat has a seat configuration in which the head panel is in a vertical orientation. The first seat has a bed configuration in which the head panel, the mid-panel, and the foot panel are each in a horizontal orientation with a top surface of each cooperating to form a flat surface. The base has a side rail that is secured to the first arm and a center support parallel to and spaced apart from the first arm. The head panel of the first seat at least partially supported by the side rail and the center support in the deployed position thereof when the first seat is in the bed configuration.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for pre-coordinating delivery and service for item searching and filtering are described herein. Large or specialized products, such as household appliances, may require setup and installation services at the time of delivery, leading to additional complexity and coordination from multiple service providers. The present techniques and system configurations address these complexities by providing functionality in search and information user interfaces, which enable a user to search, filter, and identify the delivery and installation availability for a listing of products. The present techniques and system configurations may calculate and cache the availability dates for service fulfillment of respective products. The present techniques and system configurations enable a user to request and receive a listing of the earliest available products for delivery and installation based on the cached availability dates for service fulfillment of respective products.

The frame has a base frame with a seat extension frame comprising a seat frame and a mid-frame pivotally secured to the base frame. Cushioning is on one side of the base frame. A seat back frame is pivotally secured to the base frame, the second cushioning on what is a back side when in the sofa orientation. Removable seat back cushions engage the front side of the seat back frame in the sofa orientation. In the bed orientation, the seat frame is extended, the seat back portion is pivoted horizontally, and the removable seat back cushions are located on the mid-frame between the seat frame and the seat back frame.

Abstract: A method and system for allowing one or more users controlled access to at least one server from a plurality of servers by using an advanced command interface (ACI) server. The method and system include receiving a command at the ACI server from the one or more users to access the at least one server. Further, the method and system include comparing the command and impact of the command with a predefined set of criteria, which includes a plurality of skill and role levels corresponding to the one or more users. Subsequently, the command is transmitted from the ACI server to the at least one server for processing at the at least one server. The command is transmitted based on the predefined set of criteria. Thereafter, a response of the processed command from the at least one server is received. Finally, the method and system include forwarding the response of the processed command to the one or more users.

Abstract: A foldable sofa mattress and method for storing within low profile furniture. The mattress includes a transition section disposed between different collapsible sinuous spring sections. The sinuous spring sections are pivotably joined to the transition section and the sections are affixed to upper and lower grids for support. A method for storing a foldable mattress includes the steps of providing a mattress with a transition section disposed between two collapsible sections, extending opposing pairs of straps from the transition section to each of the separate collapsible sections, and bending the mattress. The method further includes the steps of flattening the two collapsible sections, placing the flattened sections on top of one another, and storing the folded mattress in a cavity.

Abstract: An adjustable office chair includes a base device, and a seat device disposed on the base device. The seat device includes a fixed seat section, a rear seat section connected pivotally to and disposed behind the fixed seat section, a front seat section connected pivotally to and disposed in front of the fixed seat, and an invertible seat section connected pivotally to a side of the front seat section distal from the fixed seat section. The invertible seat section is movable to a position directly above the fixed seat section to allow a user to sit thereon. The front and invertible seat sections are movable to align with the fixed seat section to allow the user to sit on the fixed seat section. The rear seat section is movable to an inclined position to allow the user to lie on the seat device.

The conversion from sofa to bed, and back to sofa, is done without removing any cushions and without moving the sofa away from anything behind it.

For example, in example embodiments the support member includes a storage container that may be positioned at least partly under the bed platform when the daybed is in the sitting configuration. The opposing end of the head section is pivotally connected to the main middle section, which is pivotally connected to the secondary middle section, which is pivotally connected to the opposing end of the foot section. The sofa sleeper mechanism is movable from a stowed position to an extended position, wherein, in the stowed position, the uppermost edge of the head end does not extend substantially above the folded foot section.

Abstract: A sofa has a first frame fixed to first and second side members and a mattress with a first section secured to the first frame and a second section located over the first section by a hinge to define a seat that is rotated about the hinge to define a first sleeping surface. A second frame is pivotally attached to the first and second side members with a second mattress attached thereto to define a back for the sofa. A rail is secured to the second frame and engages a beam that extends between the first and second side member to set an incline for the back. The rail is rotated to define a barrier when the second frame is positioned a horizontal plane to define a second sleeping surface. Legs that extend from the second frame engage the side members to retain the second mattress in the horizontal plane.

Abstract: A sleeper sofa incorporating an air mattress including a telescoping mattress frame for supporting a mattress support subassembly consisting of hinge panels. The hinges used to connect the panels limit the angular range of motion of adjacent panels to plus or minus 90.degree. from a coplanar arrangement. The "panel" that defines the seating surface on which seat cushions rest when the sofa is in the seating position may be supported in the seating position by a pair of side rails that lack significant structure in the seating plane. This "panel" may also include a set of sinuous springs clad in padding similar to the seat-cushion support surface of a conventional non-sleeper sofa. The air mattress used in the sleeper sofa can be a multi-chamber design in which the outer edges of the mattress are inflated to a higher pressure to prevent the user from rolling off the edge of the mattress.

Abstract: An improved sofa sleeper deck includes a number of pivotal transverse slats secured to a foldable frame. Each slat is pivotally coupled to a linkage so that the slats can pivot between vertical and horizontal orientations in the extended bed configuration or the collapsed sofa configuration, respectively. In the bed configuration, the vertical slats provide a stable rigid support deck for the mattress to avoid the problems of hammocking and the like associated with previous sofa sleeper decks. The slats in a horizontal configuration provide a comfortable cushion seating surface for the sofa in the collapsedapsed configuration and an enlarge cavity to accommodate a thicker or bigger mattress collapsed into the sofa.

Abstract: An improved sofa-sleeper deck includes a number of serially interconnected welded grid panels secured to a foldable bed frame. Each panel is hingedly interconnected to the adjacent panel to form the deck of a sofa-sleeper structure. Each welded grid panel comprises a series of spaced, parallel, longitudinal wires and a series of spaced, parallel, transverse wires, all of which are welded at their intersections. A border wire extends around the perimeter of each wire grid panel and is welded at its intersections to both the longitudinal and transverse wires. In order to hingedly interconnect the panels, the longitudinal wires of at least one panel extend beyond the end of the border wire and are wrapped about the border wire of the adjacent panel.

Abstract: The present sofa bed includes a mattress supporting bed frame which is operable to longitudinally compress a portion of the mattress when the bed frame is moved to a folded and storage seat position. The bed frame or telescoping section which permits longitudinal expansion of the mattress when the bed frame is moved to an unfolded and extended bed position. A simple and lightweight bed frame operating and support linkage operates the telescoping bed section when moved between the stored and extended bed positions. The longitudinal compression of the mattress permits the mattress to be stored in a relatively narrow space and to be expanded to a full length bed dimension when moved to the unfolded and extended bed position.

The improvement of the present invention comprises at least one anti-roll foot mounted in the base section for movement toward and away from the surface on which the base section is supported and a control mechanism responsive to the initiation of unfolding pivotal movement of one of the bed sections relative to the base section for urging the foot into contact with the support surface to resist rolling of the base frame during unfolding of the bed sections.

The convertible chair and bed has an arm section hingedly secured to a seat section and carrying a latch bracket. A back rest is hinged to the rear of the seat section having a pedestal pivotally secured to the rear of the back rest which support the back rest in a generally horizontal position in the extended bed position. Studs project laterally from the pedestal in the chair position and are engageable in the latch bracket in the chair position. The convertible chair and bed may be incorporated in various styles of furniture and may be provided with a fixed, swivel or rocking base.

Abstract: The following specification discloses a chesterfield that is convertible into a double bed without a requirement for changing any part of the chesterfield frame and which has the normal seat depth for sitting comfort. The bed is stored beneath the seat cushions and is foldable inwardly lengthwise of the chesterfield with part of the folded bed storable beneath the back rail or deck of the seat. The bed is folded lengthwise and consists of a pair of clam-shell appearing tube members pivotably attached to a pair of channel members with link fabric for holding a mattress stretched between the tubes and a mid-cross tube. The channels and tubes form a `U` shape when folded down into the bottom of the chesterfield with the opening of the `U` facing the back of the chesterfield. The bed frame is held to the lower side frames of the chesterfield by a bearing bracket through a chain of links connected together in pivotable foldable relation.

Abstract: A convertible sofa bed particularly adapted for use in recreational vehicles. The bed includes a frame, a seat portion, and a back portion pivotally connected to the seat portion for movement between a horizontal and an upright position. A pair of pivot assemblies at opposite sides of the seat frame each includes front and rear pivot arms, one attached to the seat portion and the other to the back portion. A connecting link attached to the arms constrains them against movement independently of one another. The arms and connecting link are arranged and oriented to pivot one way to project the seat portion forwardly and move the back portion to a horizontal position to form a bed. Pivoting them the opposite way retracts the seat portion and moves the back portion to an upright position, converting the structure from a bed to a sofa.
