The bollard system includes a second connector to encircle the post extension adjacent to the first connector, a second handrail to be connected to the second connector, and a second collar to encircle the post extension adjacent to the second connector. The first collar is invertible selectively to a first lock position and a first release position, the first connector having greater freedom to rotate relative to the first collar when the first collar is in the first release position than when the first collar is in the first lock position.

Abstract: A bed frame includes legs, bars and wooden slats. Each leg has first and second sides that meet each other at an edge. A first slot is disposed on the first side adjacent to the edge, and a second slot is disposed on the second side adjacent to the edge. Each bar has two wedge inserts. A first wedge on a lateral bar fits into the first slot, and a second wedge on a longitudinal bar fits into the second slot. The lateral bar is perpendicular to the leg while the first wedge is lodged in the first slot, and the longitudinal bar is perpendicular to the leg while the second wedge is lodged in the second slot. The infant play yard includes a frame structure that is reconfigurable between a deployed configuration and a storage configuration. Rotatably coupled to the frame structure is a set of legs that are reconfigurable between a deployed configuration and a storage configuration. The infant play yard includes an infant play yard cover that is coupled to the frame structure, the play yard cover having an exterior and an interior. Moreover, the infant play yard further includes a sleeper insert that is removably coupleable to the frame structure. The sleeper insert, when used in conjunction with the frame structure, is disposed between the sidewalls of the play yard cover. The sleeper insert is configured with locking covers that are removably coupleable to the legs of the play yard frame.

The second bed frame includes a top side, a bottom side, and a slot member adjacent to the first bed frame. The slot member is formed of two sidewalls, two abutment walls connected with the two sidewalls, and a slot, into which the insertion member can be inserted to interconnect the first and second bed frames. In this way, the knockdown bed can be easily assembled and structurally firm.

The frame unit includes four corner blocks, four support legs, four elastic plates, two first connecting bars, and four second connecting bars. Each of the articulation units includes a positioning plate, a clamping plate, a movable plate, at least one positioning ball, at least one compression spring, a pivot shaft, and a hooked piece. Thus, the hooked piece of each of the articulation units is hooked on the clamping plate and the movable plate to limit the bending direction of the second connecting bars, so that the second connecting bars can only be pivoted upward and cannot be pivoted downward by limit of the hooked piece to prevent the second connecting bars from being bent downward and injuring the infant or baby.

Abstract: Provided is breakaway adjustable bed system that includes a bed frame and a breakaway system. The bed frame includes at least one breakaway member. The breakaway system includes a coupling assembly, signal mechanism, control box and alarm devices. The coupling assembly includes elements that selectably couple a breakaway member to another member of the bed frame. The control box includes a processing unit that, upon sensing a signal from the coupling assembly or signal mechanism that the selectable coupling between the breakaway member and another member of the bed frame is decoupled, provides an indication to an alarm device. The alarm device sends an alert to a user that the selectable coupling between a breakaway member and a member of the bed frame is decoupled.

Abstract: A bunk bed system including a head board and a foot board assembled with corner posts and interconnecting slats including a modified mortise and tenon joint which includes a dado on a lateral face of the tenon in alignment with a vertical post channel and longitudinal pin channel which lock and fixedly holding the joint together. The vertical channel member cooperatively engages the dado to both fixedly hold the tenon within the mortise and to also hold the tenon perpendicular to the mortise.

Abstract: A modular multiple bed unit having first and second beds connected together at right angles using mating rail brackets each defining a quick-release coupler. A bracket with quick-release coupler is provided at each of the two spaced locations on the side of one rail of the first bed, and a bracket with a mating quick-release coupler is provided on the end of each rail of the second bed for perpendicular connection of the rails of the second bed to the one rail of the first bed. In one embodiment, a stud is formed on each bracket on the rail of the first bed to engage a hook on an L-shaped bracket on the end of a corresponding rail of the second bed.

Abstract: An adjustable bed base is disclosed in which the adjustable bed base comprises a pair of opposed side members, an adjustable foot assembly and an adjustable head assembly with each assembly comprising a first panel adapted to be connected to one of the opposed side members, a second panel adapted to be connected to the other one of the opposed side members, and a central panel adapted to receive the first panel and the second panel with the first panel and the second panel being movable relative to the central panel to adjust a length of each of the assemblies.

Abstract: A foldable structure for a hospital bed contains two mounts, a bed frame, and a bed plane, each mount including two rotary positioning pieces, wherein each rotary positioning piece has a hole and an arcuate groove to axially connect the each rotary positioning piece with two coupling elements of the bed frame, such that the bed frame rotates relative to the two mounts, the each rotary positioning piece has two orifices corresponding to two ends of the arcuate groove so that a spring pin of each side of the bed frame is inserted into one of the two orifices of the each rotary positioning pieces, hence the spring pin is pushed out of the one of the two orifices of the each rotary positioning pieces, a coupling element in the arcuate groove rotates smoothly relative to a coupling element in the hole, thus retracting or expanding the bed frame easily.

The top corner is mounted above the post body of the standing post by coupling a plug of the top corner to a socket of the post body. The standing post has two first engagements at two sides of its arc shape post body or on the wall of the socket. The enclosure has a second engagement at one end that can engage with the first engagement by sliding up and down relative to the standing post so that the enclosure is easily attached to or detached from the standing post.

Abstract: A bracket system for attaching a headboard to a bed foundation. The bracket system includes a foundation bracket affixed to the bed foundation and a slide bracket affixed to the headboard. Each of the brackets is generally U-shaped having a pair of side plates extending outwardly therefrom. The dimensions and spacing of the side plates enables one bracket to interfit or nest within the other bracket. A securing device passes through both the foundation bracket and the slide bracket to secure the brackets together and affix the headboard to the bed foundation. In an alternate embodiment, the foundation brackets have a lower plate and side plates extending upwardly therefrom and are affixed to the head corners of the bed foundation. The slide bracket is affixed to the headboard and then to the directly to the bed foundation through the foundation bracket. In a further embodiment, the foundation bracket is eliminated.

Each bar is in the form of at least one upright having spacer elements at longitudinal ends thereof. Each corner module is adapted for clamping together at least two said cross-members, or for retaining the spacer elements within the slot.

Abstract: A system for connecting side rails of a bed frame with a headboard and/or footboard. A hook plate is affixed to the side rails and has a pair of hooks extending outwardly from the ends of the side rails. The hooks form slots in the hook plates and the slots have forward edges formed at a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical. A receiver housing is affixed to the headboard and/or footboard and has a vertical opening with a pair of transverse pins that span that opening. The side rails are affixed to the headboard and/or footboard by inserting the hooks into the vertical opening to engage the pins. A lever arm, pivotally affixed to the receiver housing, can be pivoted to force the hook plate downwardly to forcefully engage and lock the forward edge of the slots with the pins.

The free ends are resiliently movable away from each other to enlarge the second passage when the neck portion is forced to pass through the same.

Abstract: A support assembly for mounting to a bed to position protective railings along the sides of the bed comprises one or more support members of flat, rigid material such as sheet metal. The support members are attached to the bed deck of a hospital bed or the frame of a standard bed with inwardly facing surfaces of the support members on opposite sides of the bed spaced by substantially the width of the mattress. A hollow sleeve is affixed to the support member to receive a terminal end of the railing. Relative dimensions and positional relationships are such that gaps between the rails and portions of the bed or mattress are minimized to reduce the possibility of a patient becoming wedged in such a gap. The side rail supports are essentially immune from mis-positioning due to poor training, errors or carelessness of personell attending to the bed and patient.

Abstract: A bracket and method for connecting two component members, where the bracket is concealed from the outside of a joint formed by the two component members. The bracket includes a first flange having a hole for receiving a securing member and at least one second flange, including at least one protrusion for engaging a cavity in a first member to be secured. This design may use a single screw or bolt, and therefore saves assembly time and reduces product cost.

The base plate has a fixed base plate portion secured to the bed frame, a hip plate portion and a back plate portion sequentially and rotatively connected to an end of said fixed base plate portion and a first leg plate portion and a second leg plate portion sequentially and rotatively connected to another end. The back plate portion is arranged to be raised by a back elevating mechanism. When the back plate portion has been raised, the hip plate portion is moved in synchronization with the rotation in the raising direction. At this time, since the back plate portion is raised to make an angle larger than that of the hip plate portion, the hip of a user is not held between the fixed base plate portion and the back plate portion.

The configured member includes an offset end to which the mounting plate is secured. The configured member is provided in mirror image versions permitting a headboard to be positioned at various heights above or at the floor. Axial adjustment of the configured member in the socket adapts the hardware to an adjustable, mechanical bed having multiple pivotally interconnected sections. A swing-apart dual king bracket assembly includes a first, generally U-shaped hinge plate having a base attachable to the mounting bracket of the headboard assembly. A second hinge plate is connected to the first hinge plate by a pivot pin. The second hinge plate may be secured to a headboard or to another bracket assembly mounted on an adjacent bed frame.

Abstract: Improvements are provided in a bunk bed which includes a head board having a pair of spaced-apart legs and upper and lower transverse frames, a tail board having a pair of spaced-apart legs and upper and lower transverse frames and connecting members comprising a pair of transversely-spaced-apart upper and lower longitudinally-extending frames. A first improvement is in the form of an assembly bracket comprising an apertured side plate, an apertured face plate securely-connected thereto, and a perpendicularly-extending ledge extending along the length of the side plate. That ledge also extends from a face of the face plate and is securely-connected both to an intermediate region of the side plate and to an intermediate region of the face plate.

The bedrail is formed of thin gauge sheet metal having a longitudinally and vertically extending central web portion and longitudinally extending beads at the upper and lower marginal edges of the web. A plastic end cap having a pair of spaced legs mounted perpendicularly to a plate is adapted to engage the bedrail so that the legs extend within the spaced beads. Aligning mounting bores are formed in the beads of the bedrail and legs of the end cap which receive bolts adapted to mount the bedrail within the cutout portion of the headboard legs.

The connection consists of a first plate having a hook and being fastened to the beam in a torsion free manner. This hook has an essentially horizontal supporting area at the lower end and at least one vertical contact area. A second cross-shaped support plate is disposed in a pillar and its vertical plate portions are in one plane with the first plate. The second plate includes fitting areas which mate with the supporting area and the vertical contact area of the hook. The pillar is connected by means of a wedge-shaped tenon joint below the supporting area of the support plate.

Abstract: An improved knock-down, fold-up metal bed frame is disclosed which provides a sturdy and easily manipulated interconnecting mechanism for the cross-rail portions of the bed frame with a positive interlock between the cross-rail portions. A hand-manipulated positive interlocking mechanism is also provided for a center brace which is employed to interconnect opposed cross-rails or side rails.

Abstract: This is a device for connecting the front ends of two horizontal struts at a post by inserting plates with teeth into slits in the ends of the struts and a plate with pockets into a slit that goes through the post. Such device is useful, for example, for a piece of garden furniture made up from horizontal and vertical parts. The strut plates have protruding wedge shaped teeth that point downward. The post plate has pockets on each side that correspond in shape to the teeth which are inserted therein.
