Abstract: A hotel room includes a series of exterior walls surrounding an interior space, a doorway in a front exterior wall of the series of exterior walls, a vestibule extending from the doorway into the interior space, and first and second bathrooms in the interior space on opposite sides of the vestibule. The configuration of the first bathroom is the same as the configuration of the second bathroom, and the doorway is centered along the front exterior wall.

Abstract: Messages are transmitted to a target device over a wireless network comprising a primary channel in which first messages are transmitted in a random access procedure, and a secondary channel in which second messages are transmitted using a dedicated access procedure, wherein each of the first messages comprises a pointer to the secondary channel, each first message comprising information about the transmitting device and the target device. For each of the first and second message, a transmission opportunity comprising a time slot for transmitting the corresponding message is selected and the primary channel is scanned to determine, based on the received first messages, whether a second message will be transmitted in the time slots selected for the first or second message in which the transmitting device or the target device is involved. The selected transmission opportunities are confirmed or amended based on a result of the scanning.

Abstract: A foldable bedding foundation comprising a first section is hingedly secured to a second section so that the bedding foundation may be folded for storage or transportation purposes. Each section has a base, an upper deck and a plurality of generally L-shaped spacers pivotally secured to the base and upper deck. Upper and lower hinges extend between the base and upper deck of each section. Locking members extending through the spacers maintain the foundation in its erected position.

Abstract: A wall mounted headboard capable of storing and deploying a spring loaded table. The apparatus is comprised of a headboard pivotally connected to a first table section and assisted by a plurality of gas springs. The first table section is pivotally hinged to a second table section. The hinges between the table sections are hidden thus the table surface is free from anything disturbing a smooth surface. The weight of the second table section is offset by a plurality of torsion spring assemblies. The torsion spring assemblies are comprised of a torsion spring slidingly engaged in brackets mounted to each table section. The torsion spring assemblies allow a single user to move the second table section easily with minimal effort whether deploying or storing the table. The operation of storing or deploying the table can be performed from either side of the bed without walking around to the opposite side.

Abstract: The components of the furniture system, in a vertical orientation, have a cabinet with a central opening in an upper section and a plurality of support panels stacked in a laterally oriented position within the central opening. The cabinet is adapted to be placed against a structure such as a wall. Engaging items include a television. The cabinet further has a horizontal orientation with a top opening and alternate configuration and function such as a bed or sofa. In this configuration the support panels are repositionable to span the entire horizontal top opening of the cabinet. The repositioning of such components is done by mechanisms such as hinges, rails and/or manually repositioning the components.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a table structure that can be converted into bed or table according to user's needs. Wherein a base frame of the present invention is respectively provided with a bed having two L-shape side frames and a table having two side shelves. The two side shelves of the table are connected to the base frame through spiral arms, by virtue of the pivotal connection between the L-shape side frames and the side shelves, the bed can be positioned respectively in a horizontal manner or in a vertical manner. Through the spiral arms, the table can be lowered down or raised up relative to the bed, such that the device of the present invention can be converted into a bed or a table as desired.

Abstract: Modular convertible furniture systems include a pair of similar open-ended box frame assemblies which are nestable one within the other. A pair of slotted support rails are attached pivotally at respective opposing corners of one of the box frame assemblies so as to be movable between raised and lowered positions. When in a raised position, the rails provide a support for a solid board plank thereby becoming a seat back (e.g., for a chair, love seat, or sofa-type arrangement). When the rails are in a lowered position substantially parallel to the ground, the two box frame assemblies may be oriented back-to-back so as to provide a support for a mattress thereby converting the structure into a bed arrangement, for example. The box frame assemblies can be positioned on different sides and ends thereby allowing formation of tables and/or shelving as may be desired.

Abstract: A system or structure allowing conversion of the front area seating of a van to a dinette for two and/or four persons and to a single and/or double bed. The structures provided enable the front passenger seat to rotate 360 degrees and slide over a position adjacent to the driver seat which also can be rotated 360 degrees. The single seat directly behind the driver seat can be extended sideways to form a double seat. The table in between the front seats and seat directly behind these seats is cantilevered from a wall cabinet located below the window, which is located in the exterior sidewall directly behind the driver seat. This table is removable at will for storage in a coat closet or lowered to serve as a base for a single or double bed. The two part hinged front leaf may be folded back over the main rear leaf to allow ample space for the driver seat to slide back and forth on tracks when in the forward driving position.

Two parallel arch beam supports are located inside of the main body portion. The ends of the floor are attached to the corresponding ends of the two arch beam supports. A plurality of vertical structural tension members is affixed at spaced intervals to each of the two arch beam supports. The floor is suspended from the lower ends of the vertical structural member. Two of the structural tension members on each of the two arch beam supports are paired, act as main support members and have substantially more structural strength than the other structural tension members. The floor of the main body portion has a wheel well opening on each side between the two paired structural tension members.

Abstract: A floor-supported sofa frame has a bolster support back adjoined with end walls which are further interconnected by a crossplate enclosing an area containing a cushion support member spaced above the floor. The space between the cushion support member and the floor defines a storage area wherein a floor-supported trundle bed is removably housed for withdrawal to form a lateral extension of the cushion support member. The trundle bed defines a bolster support surface to receive two bolster members that normally form a back cushion for a sofa by superimposed positioning into a face-to-face arrangement. The bolster members are hinged together and have a thickness such that, when positioned side-by-side on the trundle bed, there is formed an extension to the sofa cushion and thereby forming a bed. The bolster members, sofa frame and trundle bed are usable separately as beds and combined as a sofa with the trundle bed usable separately.

Abstract: A waterbed frame including a support structure for supporting a water mattress, a support ledge for supporting a user while the user is getting into or out of the waterbed, and a transition member to help the user transfer from the support ledge to the water mattress and back is disclosed. In one arrangement, the transition member is a rigid leaf member pivotally connected to the support structure at the water mattress edge of the support ledge so that when a user moves from the support ledge to the leaf member, the leaf member lowers the user onto the water mattress, spreading the user's weight over the water mattress for the entire length of the leaf member. In one arrangement, the waterbed frame can be converted into an exercise table. In an arrangement especially suited for persons confined to wheelchairs, the support ledge and the top of the water mattress are at substantially the same height as the cushion on a standard height wheelchair, making transfer from a wheelchair to the waterbed frame easier.

Four vertically disposed columns support a bed platform upon which a mattress may be located, and a table is supported directly above the bed platform on the columns for vertical adjustment thereon. A lamp support is mounted upon the columns directly above the table, and table vertical adjusting means in the form of a winch is mounted upon the lamp support, and through cables located within the columns provides vertical adjustment of the table. The table is mounted in guides for horizontal displacement thereof, and the table guides may be tilted to the horizontal.
