Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a resting area for an infant or a pet is disclosed. The resting area includes a support structure and a holding structure for holding the resting area over, or at least partially above an adult sleeping area. This enables the resting area to be easily accessible to an adult located in the adult sleeping area. The resting area is optionally movable in various manners, such as vertically, horizontally, rotatably, and swingably. The apparatus may include a horizontal arm extending from a support frame. A sleep divider is optionally provided in order to enable one adult to attend to an infant or pet while decreasing the disturbance to another adult on the opposite side of the divider. Various additional optional features may include providing heating means to a portion of the rest area, a convenient supply tray, lighting means, and various holding structure configurations for convenience and comfort.

Abstract: A device for providing a dining support that is extendable from and retractable and concealable on furniture is disclosed. The device has a platform that is movable between a deployed position for supporting food and drinks, and a retracted position beneath the furniture. To move device from the retracted position to the deployed position, the platform is pulled from beneath the furniture and then elevated to a horizontal position. The height of the platform is vertically adjustable.

Abstract: The present invention provides an attachment for an operating table preferably including two base portions adapted to rest on the frame of an operating table, a frame portion adapted to support a tray within the sterile field during surgery, and at least two support portions extending upwards from the first and second base portions, respectively, in order to support the frame portion.

Abstract: A medical examination table has a step that is movable between a stowed position within the base of the table, to an extending position for use by persons mounting or dismounting the table. Slide members are coupled to the step inboard from the lateral sides of the step, so that the slide members are hidden from view even when the step is placed in the extended position. The step is suspended above a floor surface by the slide members and lower support members provided on a bottom side of the step, to facilitate movement of the step between the stowed and extended positions.

The changing table is mounted on top of the playard, and characterized in that: a first rail is disposed on top of the upper end rail member a second rail opposed to the first rail, and a pair of side rails are respectively connected to the first and second rails. The pair of side rails comprises a first portion connected to the first rail, and a second portion connected to the second rail. Abstract: A surgical table which includes a patient support surface and one or more trays pivotally connected to the patient support surface and selectively deployed to hold objects such as surgical instruments. Each tray has a first condition in which angular rotation of the tray about the axis of rotation is inhibited and a second condition in which the tray is rotatable angularly about the axis of rotation. In the first condition, the tray is capable of receiving and supporting the surgical instruments. This also permits a width reduction of the back section of the patient support surface.

Abstract: The device is designed to enable the user to perform both abdominal strengthening and back muscle strengthening exercises on the top of a conventional bed. A conventional bed is defined as one with a semi-rigid mattress and a rigid frame. The device attaches and detaches to the described bed easily and provides the means to strengthen both flexor and extensor muscles of the trunk with the dual advantages of maximum convenience and minimum cost. The rise assist apparatus further includes an upper curved, horizontal leveraging handle, which extends from the pole-like support structure. Specifically, the rise assist apparatus allows the user to build momentum by pushing off the upper hand grip, and allows the user to control the momentum by regaining balance, and readjusting posture, by gripping the lower handrail member. Additionally, the user can use the curved grip with one hand, while simultaneously reaching for the handrail during the rising movement thereby allowing the user to support himself or herself as they rise out of bed.

Preferably, the invention attaches to the poles used to carry a patient on a litter such that the invention provides space for the patient's legs to pass under if necessary. Abstract: A stretcher table assembly is provided for attachment over an ambulance stretcher. The stretcher table assembly includes a tiltable support surface for securing emergency medical equipment used during an emergency thereon. The tiltable support surface may be inclined to permit technicians to more easily view the equipment secured thereon. Additionally, the support surface has a grid of holes upon which anchoring devices may be positioned. The anchoring devices permit emergency medical equipment to quickly and easily secure to the support surface without the need of adjusting a strap or buckle. Abstract: A system for transporting an ill or injured patient includes a stretcher in combination with a plurality of medical care modules that respectively include medical devices such as an infusion pump, an oxygen supply device, a defibrillator, an EKG unit, or the like, and medical and first aid supplies such as bandages, splints, IV supplies, drugs, medical instruments, and the like. The stretcher includes a frame and a patient support surface, as well as module bays provided under the frame or a module carrier removably mounted on the frame. The several medical care modules each have the same dimensions and configuration so that they are modularly interchangeable to be received in any one of the module bays or on the module carrier. When the medical care modules are slidingly pushed into the module bays, electrical contacts are engaged to connect the modules with an electrical power supply and a data transfer bus, through the stretcher.

Abstract: The present invention relates to A care pad structure of a surrounding baby cot. The care pad structure is composed of front frame rod and rear frame rod. The front frame rod has a positioning element connected thereon by a clipping hole for clipping on the upper frame rod of the surrounding baby cot. The rear frame rod has a connecting element and forms a hole on rear side provided for fitting on the side rod of upper frame rod. In this structure, the care pad frame rod can be raised to firmly lie on the upper frame rod of the surrounding baby cot and parks on side wall when not in use for convenience of storage. In addition, a bag can be attached on to its back side when it is parking on side wall of the surrounding baby cot to be as a storage bag of toys or something.
