Active Ingredient Contains Nitrogen, Other Than As Nitro Or Nitroso, Wherein The Nitrogen Is Attached Directly Or Indirectly To Carbon By Nonionic Bonding Patents (Class 504/173)
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of an agrochemical composition comprising at least one specific herbicide and at least one specific fungicide for controlling undesired vegetation in soybean cultures and for the desiccation and/or defoliation of soybeans. The invention further relates to a method for controlling undesired vegetation in soybean cultures and to a method for the desiccation and/or defoliation of soybean plants.
Abstract: The present invention provides a concentrate for dilution with water in the preparation of an agricultural composition for application to crops, soil or animals. The concentrate is recommended for use with agricultural chemicals whose agricultural activity varies with the pH of the water. It comprises an active ingredient and a combination of pH indicators for coloring the water, the pH indicators being selected so as to indicate different colors of spray water at different pH levels. The proportions of active ingredient and pH indicators are selected so that when the concentrate is added to water, the pH indicators indicate visually upper and lower pH limits for optimum activity of the agricultural chemical.

Abstract: The invention relates to compositions useful in the field of agricultural chemistry and methods for making and using the compositions. The compositions include (i) a permeabilizing agent, and (ii) a active component, for example, a pesticide or plant growth regulator, and can include additional components as well, for example, flow agents. The permeabilizing agent, or a mixture of permeabilizing agents, acts as an adjuvant to the active component or chemicals to improve the degree of efficacy of the active component or speed of action of the active component. The permeabilizing agents are typically one or more chelating agents, cationic materials, anionic materials, and zwitterionic materials, and include polyphosphate salts. Examples of cationic materials include polyamines such as ethylenediamine and quaternary ammonium salts. The active components can be pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, virucides, bacteriocides, and acaricides.
Abstract: Spray of discharge drift is controlled in aqueous mixtures with the inclusion of a substantially neutral pH drift control agent containing lecithin, a viscosity modifying agent, and a water dispersing agent. In one embodiment, the viscosity modifying agent is a methyl ester and the water dispersing agent is a polyoxyethylene ether. In a preferred embodiment the viscosity modify agent is methyl soyate and the water dispersing agent has the formula H23C11(CH2CH2O)5H. The lecithin-based drift control agents of the present invention reduce the formation of fine droplets when the mixtures are atomized, thereby reducing the amount of the mixture that drifts outside of the area targeted to receive the spray or discharge.
Abstract: A method of defoliating plants includes applying to plants an effective amount of a first active ingredient selected from the group consisting of substituted nitroguanidine and cyanoguanidine compounds of the formula:
wherein R1 is NO2 or CN; R2 is CH3, C2 H5, CF3, n-C3 H7, CH2 OCH3 or CH2CH═CH2; X is hydrogen, o-F, m-F, p-F, m-OCH3, m-OH or p-Cl; and the salts, tautomers and optical isomers thereof; an effective amount of a second active ingredient and optionally, an adjuvant.

Abstract: This invention is related to glucoxide derivatives for enzyme modification of the following general formula (1), to provide a lipid-coated enzyme showing high activity in organic solvents; antifouling paint compositions containing a lipid-coated enzyme being stable in organic solvents by coating with a C.sub.6 to C.sub.30 lipid, and a paint resin, to be capable of forming paint films having good antifouling activity and durability and allowing an enzyme to retain good stability in the paint and in paint films; and self-polishing antifouling paint compositions containing an enzyme-susceptible resin and a lipid-coated enzyme capable of catalyzing the degradation of said resin and being stable in organic solvents by coating with a C.sub.6 to C.sub.30 lipid, to retain the antifouling effect for a prolonged period of time without adversely affecting the environment.
Abstract: A composition exhibiting increased defoliation and growth inhibition efficacy comprises the mixture of an amide-sulfuric acid adduct and a phosphonic acid and/or phosphonic acid derivative or salt.
