Active Ingredient Contains Organic Nitrogen, Other Than As Nitro Or Nitroso, Wherein The Nitrogen Is Attached Directly Or Indirectly To Carbon By Nonionic Bonding Patents (Class 504/183)
Abstract: Provided herein are homoleptic metal coordination complexes that induce cellular apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase in fungus, such as Candida spp. Also disclosed are methods of inhibiting fungal growth and methods of treating fungal infections using the disclosed compounds. The disclosed compounds exhibit anti-Candida activity against fluconazole resistant and sensitive strains of C. albicans at low concentrations.

Abstract: This invention relates to the application of herbicides in sewer liens to kill tree roots inside the lines and preventing re-growth into the lines for years after application. It relates to the discovery that latex polymers, organosilicone surfactants, deposition agents and other surfactants can be used to “glue” the herbicides to pipe surfaces. This discovery allows the use of plant killing herbicides to treat roots in sewer lines—killing them—which results in their subsequent removal by decay and erosion processes. It also allows for the use of the herbicides to prevent regrowth back into the sewer lines by applying the herbicides in a compound which adheres to the sewer line surfaces and forms a long term coating on the pipe and joint surfaces where the roots might attempt to grow back in. The compound resists erosion and washing away preventing long term root re-infestations in the sewer lines.
Abstract: The present invention relates to solutions of CIPC and of one or more terpenes or terpene oils for the antigerminative treatment of bulbs and tubers. This use is particularly appropriate for the treatment of potato tubers. The CIPC solution contains from 50 to 80% by weight of CIPC relative to the total volume of the solution. Examples of the terpenes and terpene oils are eugenol, isoeugenol, clove oil and their salts and mixtures thereof.
Abstract: Method for per to provide a turf for sports, ornamental or recreational use, comprising the steps of: selecting a stoloniferous and/or rhizomatous plant species; cultivating a plurality of mother plants belonging to said stoloniferous and/or rhizomatous species up to reach a predetermined vegetative development, said mother plants comprising stolons and/or rhizomes having a plurality of nodes, wherein two successive nodes are connected by plant portions, or internodes; preparing at least one cutting from each mother plant of said plurality of mother plants, said cutting comprising at least one node and an internode, wherein said internode has a length set between 1 mm and 10 mm; and carrying out a vegetative propagation of a plurality of said cuttings in a desired site then obtaining said turf.
Abstract: The present invention describes glyphosate salts of ether amines as compounds and compositions, including their methods of use. The compounds include glyphosate salts of the formula (I): Z-CH2—NH—CH2—POR1R2 (I), wherein Z is COOH, COSH, COCl, COBr, COF, COI, or COR3; R1, R2, and R3 are each independently OH or OR4 such that at least one of R1, R2, and R3 are OR4; and R4 is an ether amine salt-forming cation of the formula (II): H3N—R5—O—R6 (II), wherein R5 and R6 are each independently C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkene, or C2-C6 alkyne. The compositions included herein contain at least the above-described glyphosate salt in combination with a carrier. This composition is useful in methods to inhibit the growth of unwanted plants by contacting the plant with an herbicidally effective amount of the composition.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a method of lily bulb dwarfing treatment which can be performed before planting, be practiced easily and permit to obtain a uniform dwarfing effect without any special experience and to provide thus dwarfing treated lily bulbs.Namely, according to the present invention, lily bulbs are submitted to the sprouting treatment, then thus sprouted lily bulbs are soaked in a dwarfing agent.
