The lubricant is applied to the wire to reduce its coefficient of friction, and it is remarkable for its compatibility with the environmentally unharmful refrigerants, such as R134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane), which are used today in refrigerating compressors without capillary tube obstructions.
