Abstract: Provided is a anti-dandruff shampoo composition comprising: (a) from about 8% to about 40%, by weight, of detersive surfactant, said composition comprising from about 5% to about 40% of anionic detersive surfactant; (b) from about 0.05% to about 5%, by weight, of a dispersed, insoluble silicone conditioning agent; (c) from about 0.01% to about 1.0%, by weight, of a stabilizing agent for the silicone conditioning agent, said stabilizing agent being a shampoo soluble cationic polymer; (d) from about 50% to about 91.5%, by weight, water; wherein said shampoo composition is substantially free of suspending agents selected from the group consisting of crystalline suspending agents and anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric polymeric thickening agents.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bubble bath composition containing (A) 10-30% by weight of a C.sub.8-18 alkylalkanolamide surfactant or a C.sub.8-18 alkyldimethylamino acetic acid betaine surfactant, (B) 5-20% by weight of an anionic surfactant, C.sub.8-18 alkyl (or polyether-type) sulfate, and (C) 20-80% by weight of a polyol, wherein the ratio by weight of component (A) to component (B) is greater than or equal to 1 and the composition has a viscosity of less than or equal to 1000 cp at 20.degree. C. This composition provides excellent foam producing ability and foam persistence, is readily dispersed in bath water, and imparts moistness to the skin after bathing. The composition of the invention is relaxation due to its rich foam and moisturizing sensation of the skin.

Abstract: A light duty liquid detergent with desirable cleansing properties and mildness to the human skin comprising: a nonionic surfactant, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a C.sub.8-18 ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant, an amine oxide surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, an alkyl polyglucoside surfactant, and water.

Abstract: Detergent mixtures containing(a) esterquats corresponding to formulae (I), (II) or (III): ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 CO is an acyl radical containing 6 to 22 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently of one another represent hydrogen or have the same meaning as R.sup.1 CO, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 independently of one another represent an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a (CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.q H group, m, n and p together are 0 or numbers of 1 to 12, q is a number of 1 to 12 and X stands for halide, alkyl sulfate or alkyl phosphate,(b) soil-repelling polymers containing ethylene terephthalate or polyethylene glycol terephthalate groups, and(c) from 1% to 50% by weight of alkyl or alkenyl sulfates, based on the weight of the esterquats.

Abstract: Composition useful as 2-in-1 cleansing products are disclosed that are extremely mild to skin and hair, which use neutralized, essentially chargeless, ionic complexes of fatty amines and fatty acids to deliver various levels of conditioning; neutralized, essentially chargeless, ionic complexes of a detersive surfactant comprising a water soluble cationic surfactant and/or polymer complexed with one or more anionic surfactants; or an amphoteric surfactant complexed with one or more anionic surfactants; or a water soluble cationic surfactant and/or polymer complexed with one or more amphoteric surfactants; or a water soluble cationic surfactant and/or polymer complexed with one or more anionic surfactants and an amphoteric surfactant; detersive surfactant-soluble but water-insoluble silicones or derivatives thereof; and water. These products exhibit true 2-in- conditioning properties, and are lower in cost than current 2 in 1 products. Clear or opacified products can be formulated.

Abstract: The present invention provides an effective conditioning shampoo composition which is free of conditioning amounts of silicone conditioning agents. It comprises: A) about 5% to about 40% of a detersive surfactant mixture of an anionic detergent and an amphoteric surfactant, the weight ratio of the anionic detergent to the amphoteric surfactant being in the range of about 10:1 to 0.8:1; B) about 0.05% to about 6% of a conditioning agent selected from the group consisting of 0.05% to 5% of a complex of essentially equimolar amounts of a C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 (EtO).sub.1-10 carboxylic acid, and a C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 alkyl (EtO).sub.0-10 dimethyl amine; 0.05% to 1.0% of a polyquaternary compound selected from the group consisting of a quaternized cellulosic polymer and a mixture of the quaternized cellulosic polymer with a non-cellulosic quaternary conditioning polymer; and mixtures of the foregoing; C) 0.1% to 1% of a static control mixture of a quaternary ammonium salt having the formula R.sub.9, R.sub.10, R.sub.

Abstract: A mild, non-irriatating hair conditioning shampoo is disclosed comprising an aqueous dispersion of a water-insoluble lipid phase, an anionic hair cleansing surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant present at a level of at least about 0.75 parts by weight per part by weight of said anionic surfactant, at least one hair conditioning, film forming, polycationic polymer soluble in the aqueous dispersion and 0-6% by weight, based on the weight of the shampoo, of a water-insoluble, non-volatile hair conditioning silicone, the water-insoluble lipid phase comprising at least one lipid soluble, emulsifiable, monocationic, quaternary ammonium compound or amine solubilized in a water-insoluble long chain lipid compound, the weight ratio of monocationic compound to the lipid compound in the lipid phase being in the range of from about 5:1 to about 1:10 and the molar ratio of anionic surfactant to water-insoluble cationic compound is greater than 2:1.

Abstract: This invention describes shampoo and other compositions containing an anionic or amphoteric surfactant, a polyacrylamide, and a silicone component. The compositions are particularly useful in that such are stable thereby avoiding substantial separation of the components when neet or in an aqueous dispersion or solution.
